TN should be ahead of Alabama in polls

In ANY poll, if two teams have the same record and played head-to-head, the team that won head-to-head is ahead.
Everyone knows there's a bias. Everyone knows we're not the same team without Hooker. Everyone knows we failed to take care of biz against SCjr and thus we're vulnerable to such bias. You either bust thru the door when you have the chance or risk having is slammed in your face. Right now, I'd be thrilled with the Orange Bowl and a win to finish 11-2. That would be a truly exceptional season to build upon.

How does Banks' absence on defense cause an offensive player to tear his ACL in a non-contact injury?
Exactly. This offense calls on the QB to run on occasion. Our fans were clamoring for Hooker to use his legs more often. Sucks that it happened, but it does go with the territory. You run the QB and you run that risk. And since we're talking about Tennessee, you could almost guarantee something bad would happen. I said going into the season that we couldn't afford to have either Hooker or Tillman injured. Our luck...both went down. Such a UT thing to have happen.

I'm still not ready to pin the injury on Banks' absence, but your argument's not unreasonable.

It’s hard to watch Hooker run sometimes anyway. He’d get all crazy legs trying to make a guy miss and would trip or fall over. No doubt kid can run but he made me really nervous trying to juke someone

If TN and AL played on Saturday on a neutral field, who do you think would win?

So if we play this game, why play the games at all? Let’s just all vote at the beginning of the season the Nat. Champions based upon our speculation of who is going to win which games. Did you think we would beat Bama at the start of the season? S. Carolina? LSU? That’s not how this works, actual head to head games ought to carry more weight than any other factor.
