'26 TN TE Carson Sneed (Tennessee commit)

Seems odd how any time a recruit or commit looks around there are the “eff him” responses. While those do sort of make sense from the uninformed fan perspective, there doesn’t seem to be any sense of introspection and wondering why? The default position of “it’s about money” might not be accurate in the least. I’m not sure UCLA is exactly spending like a drunken sailor.

His quotes in various articles mention offensive systems and skill set fits.
Hello Mrs Sneed

I guess the "system" is supposed to work for the player instead of the player working to fit into the system.

If you want showcased and targets, earn them. The QB will find you and help you do your thing. You know, sort of like Myles and Ethan are working on and doing.
He has a right to do what's best for him. Dont bring that weak argument to fray. It is what it is, at this point.

There’s a lot of dumb fans unfortunately. They grew up vol fans so they think everyone should pick their school or to hell with them.

I mean, I love the Vols but if either of my kids were making a major decision like what school to attend, I’d encourage them to explore all options. Especially when it includes all expense paid trips where you’re fed good.

Virtually all players seek schools in which they fit the system, just as coaches seek players that fit their system.

Because and I am not speaking for everyone, but some of us feel if you are committed, why look around? Snead knows what system we run. I am sure Heupel and Halze talked to him about how we are gonna use him and the other TEs. And apparently he liked what he heard because he committed. So what has changed? You really think our offensive system has dramatically changed in the short time he has been committed? Don’t think so.

And then he schedules an unofficial to Ole Miss. a team that since Lame has been their coach, has made it clear they wanna spend. So in today’s landscape of the Wild West it’s safe to just assume money. Why? Like I said. What’s more likely? One, Heupel and Halze has drastically changed our offensive system and Snead doesn’t like it. Or two, OM and Lame mad been in his ear talking money and other flashy things? Hence the eff him if he wants to go elsewhere.

Ole Miss and Miami have tight ends going to the NFL this year. Sneed committed early and is exploring his options now as most players that commit anywhere early often do
