TN to use Fullback?

If UT's best option or only option at fullback is a walk on QB, I guess I can't complain about not using one.

I agree.

I think it would be great if Butch could show we finally have a coach willing to adapt to his players and willing to make changes when something obviously isn't working though.

This makes me laugh. Our o line and backs can't run the I either.

It's CBJ's first year. He needs to implement his system and there are always growing pains, and yes Players that may not be suited to his system. The difficulty with the approach you are recommending is that a constant "fiddling" with what you do creates a situation that there is no system to build on. My preference is that CBJ continues with his system installation so that the younger players are well versed in it going forward.

BTW, there are many facets in this system that allow for adaptation to situations and players. It just takes time to put all the parts in place. I know the Volnation is tired and wants to win today, I'm right there with you, but I would rather see us build a sustainable program quickly and that can best be done systematically without deviating from the process. Keep in mind CBJ has been our coach for only 8 months or so and has only had access to coaching the players for maybe 3 of those. You can't hold Coach accountable for all the losses the Volnation has had to endure for the past decade.:peace2:

I really hope he puts a fb in. With the players we have, and the lack of a qb/wr, it would only make since to be a run heavy (with a lead blocker)offense. I do believe a good coach will play to the strengths of the team he has. We all can agree this might be the better move considering the oline we have, and the lack of a qb/wr combo.
