TN vs Baylor (i.e. Griner)

I hope we get someone half as classy as Pat. Mulkey ain't it.
Other than piss poor taste in clothes, what does Mulkey lack?

She led her Hammond High School basketball team to four consecutive state championships. As high school valedictorian, she posted a perfect 4.0 GPA.
The 5*ft*4*in Mulkey was an All-American point guard at Louisiana Tech University, winning two national championships as a player—the AIAW title in 1981 and the inaugural NCAA title in 1982.She was also a member of the gold medal-winning U.S. team at the 1984 Summer Olympics.

In 2000, Mulkey took over a Baylor program that had finished the 1999–2000 season 7–20 and last in the Big 12 Conference. In her first season at Baylor, she led the Lady Bears program to its first NCAA tournament bid. The Lady Bears have, as of 2011 put together eleven consecutive 20-win seasons, all nine NCAA tournament appearances in the program's history, and only once has the team lost more than 10 games in a season. The rise of the Baylor program under Mulkey was capped off in 2005 with a national title. This made her the first woman to have won NCAA Division I basketball titles as a player and a head coach, and only the fourth person (after Joe B. Hall, Bob Knight and Dean Smith).
Since the inception of the NCAA women's tournament in 1982, Mulkey has been involved in that tournament as a player or coach every year except 1985 and 2003. She was enshrined in the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame in 2000 for her accomplishments as a player.[4]

Regardless of how much I've come to hate Baylor these last couple of years, you gotta like Kim Mulkey. She's a HELL of a coach, and from recent interviews I've seen, she's a hell of a person who really cares about the players and has true respect for the game.

sorry but calling out GT in her postgame interview for not emptying their bench early enough for her liking was not classy or respectful. Very good coach but all the other stuff is a bit much IMO

Watching Coach Mulkey's demeanor on the sideline is pathetic, she's like a toddler throwing a temper tantrum and stomping her feet.

Good stats and records are great. Let me ask you this, when it appeared there might be a fight, which bench cleared it's players?

Sad that Pat's final game will be remembered like this. This senior class has been a disappointment from the get-go. Hart should clean house when CPS announces her retirement. Nobody on this staff need remain. With that said, thanks for EIGHT NCAA championships. Coach Summit!

Same here, I didn't see the situation. Turned the game off it was so ugly.

Unless my memory is wrong, isn't leaving the bench ejection in that game, and suspension for the next game?

The NCAA says none of the players will be suspended for the Final Four.

Which team had a player standing over a downed player screaming in her face?Oh yeah, the player on the floor had torched you for 27.

You don't like Mulkey, ok, I don't care one way or another. But, no class?

If you had watched replay with enough attention what you would have saw was Strickland trying to establish her footing as to not fall ontop of Odyssey, and Odyssey pushing her off her. That aggressive push by Odyssey while she was on the floor was what preciptated Strickland to scream back at her WITH THE RESTRAINT NOT TO HIT HER....

Thats how it went down.

Overboard, yes. I've seen and heard enough from/about Mulkey over the years. Certainly hope she isn't considered.

Yep, I didn't bother to explain further.

I wonder if they have checked it's gender? Or would that even be legal. Worst case it's a chick with both genitalia. Im not trying to be funny, im being serious.
She will have to be tested for the Olympics. She does not have to be tested for college athletics. I feel bad for her if she is legit. The way people talk about her is low class in my opinion. If later on something is found out, then punish Baylor harshly, until then I wish everybody would stop with the low class comments.

Yeah, so many people on here have never seen any other female with a male voice and other male features. If she played for UT, Griner would be just wonderful.

Did you notice Griner went and grabbed the only Tennessee player not her own teammates. 1 Vol and 5 Bears and she grabs a vol!!!

You have your opinion, but we can't share ours? Interesting.
