No, if, and's, or buts, candy or nuts about it. This game determines whether or not our program can rise to the top amid the ashes like the phoenix or stay in the smoldering ashes for another 5 years with below mediocre depth, recruits and results on the field in the win and loss column. This is the biggest game in the history of the program bar none. 50 recruits will be at neyland tomorrow. GO VOLS!! BEAT GEORGIA!!!

I'd say that is a bit of an overstatement. A win could move the timetable up a bit, but there is still a lot of football left to play this year.

This is the last big game besides Bama. USCjr would be a nice win, but they are not a very good football team so georgia and bama are all that is left for the big win chance. making a bowl will help the team and recruiting but not more than a win tomorrow would.

I don't set my expectations too high, but Butch needs to win this one by 3 touchdowns or he clearly isn't the man for the job

Beating SC would be a great win for this program.

No question, this is an important game. But IMO, the most important game of this era will be THE game that pivots us into the opposite direction towards momentum...which remains to be seen. Perhaps it's this game, perhaps it's not.

Good grief, OP, you didn't really put much thought into it before clicking the "submit thread" button, did you?

No it doesn't, but this thread does prove you are a dumbass so there is that

I don't agree that this is the biggest game in the history of UT football either, but I wouldn't call someone a dumbass for giving their opinion. So there's that.

Wrong. A loss in this game means nothing in the overall scheme of things. However a win would speed up the process

If you think we can beat Georgia with the way this team has played then god bless you. I hope its not another Oregon type score. The final three wins this year will come from three of our final four. I pray we can get three. But to say this game will make or break this program is ridiculous. The recruits we have thus far understand that this team has alot of work to be done and they are looking forward to being the ones that turn it around for UT.

This game honestly doesn't mean much. Will be big for recruiting but the atmosphere will be crazy as usual so that job is all but done. Would be nice to play well, but losing this game won't determine much of anything regarding the future.

Totally disagree with this. The odds are it's going to be another smackdown tomorrow. We are not back and we are not going to be back this year. If you are looking to be back, then look down the road in 3 years, that's when we will know if we are back yet. These recruits that are going to be in the stadium tomorrow need to know that there is playing time available immediately and they are going to be given the chance to perform on the field next year as Freshman. Whether or not we win tomorrow shouldn't focus into their decision making process at all. And if it does, they aren't very bright and we probably don't need them.

This game doesn't determine sh&t except who will have bragging rights for the next year.

We are a 3-2 team that will most likely finish 5-7 or 6-6. So tell me again, why is this the biggest game in the history of the program? I'll hang up and listen.

There does need to be a dumbass button next to the like button. If your dumbass count ever doubles your like count with a minimum number of likes you get permabanned. Would rid this place of the stink.

Beating any of the next 3 teams would be monumental.
I'll settle for mistake free, 60 minutes of sustained maximum effort.
That could translate to a 7-5 season.
