Lol I hate Bama just as much as anybody but a hs kid picking Bama in this era could never be considered a loss… we will go toe to toe with the big dogs in recruiting and we will win and lose some hope we don’t melt down as a fan base if this kid chooses Bama… no matter what I wish him the best of luck except on the 3rd Saturday in October if he chooses Bama go Vols…

I think it has hurt more than we realized. Not crippling, but not helpful.

Heupel, AP, and Hubbs all brought it up first thing in their reaction to the NCAA verdict.

Wrong. Chatt is UT country (as is north Georgia) and it starts before the border. You get to Dalton going north and you see a lotttt of Vols stickers and plates on the road. Also a full hour closer to Knox then athens.

I didn’t have a good feeling about this kid when he was upset he didn’t receive special attention at last years Bama game…it’s seemed like he’s been looking for an “anything but UT” option ever since…it’s a shame but it is what it is…

We’ve got Staley and I believe Boo will end up at slot…we’re about to get Matthews…we might hit a home run and get Wingo but if not I’ll bet a buffalo nickel we’ll end up with another 4* that we’re all happy with…when it comes to this years class WR is not a position that worries me at all

If I was told that the NCAA was going to do a multi-year postseason ban and this and that and it didn't happen, I'd have trust issues with those coaches.

100%! However, those same coaches will just feed more lies to those same recruits about why it didn’t happen.

I‘ve seen this posted and versions of it but it’s not true and whatever happened was completely blown out of proportion by others.

Especially when it was revealed that that kind of thing was important to him, and Saban rolled out the red carpet.
