'25 TN WR Joakim Dodson (Tennessee)

A little background on this kid.
Very good basketball player. He's athletic enough to create his own shot, and aggressive rebounder.

Had 200 yards and 2 TDs as a freshman at MUS.
MUS plays top competition in the state of Tennessee.

Father was a good college WR at Memphis, and Joakim is just as good except taller.
- Good vertical
- Good Quickness
- Good Hands
- Good speed

He's a kid that will get better and better each year in the program and he'll be a strong contributor.
Take all day- even though there are many good WRs in this class

Ole Miss isn’t a terrible offer. Hell neither is Missouri. Could be another one like Carter a few years ago where teams come after them late.
Mizzou is recruiting pretty well right now and it sounded like they wanted him pretty badly. Also to mention we are looking to take 4 receivers in this class. If this is receiver #4 that is a really promising get. Not to mention that its still somewhat early, havent had summer 7 on 7's and senior year

The staff likes Dodson, Sparks, and Jackson a lot. Get those 3 instate guys (I think we will) and then you can go big for the 4th…French or Cunningham or one of the California kids.

That would be an amazing pull.

There's so many WRs and "ath" in this class that can make the first guy miss and plays fast, that we'll certainly keep our WR tradition going.

I know some people would shake their head at us taking 3 In-State guys at WR, but these guys are versatile.
- Sparks could develop into a DK Metcalf.
- Jackson could probably be a very good CB
- Dodson checks all the boxes as a WR

Then you add in a freak like Cunningham or even a "4th" In- State WR and we're cooking with hot grease!

The 4th "WR" could be an APP like Duane Morris out of Oakland.

Line up in the slot, and return punts, as well as catch passes out of the backfield.

Sparks definitely has the body type for a DK Metcalf comp, but he'll never likely run a 4.3 40.

Per the pod, we are trending with Dodson more than any other recruit after junior day

Side note, Callahan loves Dodson and expects him to shoot up the rankings
Completely agree with the second part. He’s got good length and great feet and explosiveness. Could use some work in the weight room it kinda looked like in the highlights but that’s fine. He’s so explosive and fast on his highlights. Wasn’t able to catch a game last year but hoping to this fall. Sucks that Glover is leaving for Mizzou… idk who their QB will be but hopefully they have someone else that can push the ball down the field so he can continue making plays that way

People dont know that DK Metcalf was a 4.6 guy in HS....
Same for Calvin Johnson.

Metcalf only ran the 100 hurdles in HS.

Sparks hasnt even begun to touch his talent yet. No way id put a ceiling on his speed just yet

Glover isn’t as good as the rankings say. Watched a lot of collierville and he’s not all that
