I am just saying I think he will have a great year and rise in the rankings. Which will make more teams want to come after him.Georgia made a push for him. How much more does his recruitment need to blow up? These coaches recruit kids that fit a particular character profile. It's why they've had very few decommits.
He’ll definitely end up in the top 250. I think that’s on the low end. If he progresses I see him as a top 75-200 guy. Lets see how this season goes. But if Georgia putting the press on makes him 100% he’s ready to shut it down…I don’t know who else would sway him.I am just saying I think he will have a great year and rise in the rankings. you are forgetting the most important factors however. He is committed to UT, and not scheduling visits with other schools. Neither of which are going to draw the amount of attention needed to really rise in the ranks. He’ll definitely end up in the top 250. I think that’s on the low end. Okay, but what about the reputation Heupel and Pope have with WR's? Seems to me that they have an eye for WR talent and, therefore, prioritizing Dodson would make it seem like he's underrated by the services.you are forgetting the most important factors however. I think he gets bumped, but unless he is undeniably a Top 10 WR they will keep him down in the 250s.
their best bet is to still get ranked highly before committing, or at the very least entertain other big schools so the services can drive up clicks with a higher ranking.Okay, but what about the reputation Heupel and Pope have with WR's? But does he have 5*?I just listen to the pod about Travis Smith and Ryan Callahan got to talking about the wide receiver class as a whole. Callahan said Dodson is the most overlooked player in Tennessee's class. He highlighted that Georgia wanted him and hosted him. After Dodson visited Georgia, he shut things down, while his stock has continued to rise. Callahan isn't known to say things flippantly, so I would expect dodson's stock to rise a good bit in the coming months. Looks like we got a great evaluation and a talented receiving core coming in.
He is elite because he committed to us.He’s not elite.
Doesn’t have a 5* next to his name…
Dodson stock is absolutely going to rise. At Baylor, the plan is to use him in the Amari Jefferson role so he will definitely produce. He needs to get a little more physical but he’s very fast and has good size to pair with his separation ability. Baylor new QB has more of an ability to push the ball down the field than Whit which should help Dodson. Then SMK play action should give him some long TD opportunities imo. That is some great analysis and insight that you don't even find on podcasts. Thanks for the additional information.
