Adios. You won't be missed.

But when this team starts winning again -- and notice that I said "when" and not "if" -- just stay gone. If you only care about the team when things are rosy, then you're not a genuine supporter of the Volunteers. You're a front-runner and a phony. You lack both loyalty and historical perspective, and I, for one, am glad to be rid of you.

Sincerely,
Those of us who will enjoy the Vols ascendancy without you.

If somebody doesn't want to invest their time, money and energy into supporting the program, well, I'd say that's their right. Gotta admit, we haven't had much to cheer about lately and there does come a point somebody might decide to stop buying tickets, etc. And I'm OK with that. But for anybody that says they're going to go support another team, or not going to support UT anymore, then there's the door.

I'm a UT alum. My dad's a UT alum. My grandfather, a mechanic, never went to UT but we buried that man in UT orange. So if you wanna stop financially supporting the team, fine. But if you want to turn your back on the university, the GTFO. Not soon. Now. Right freakin' now.

I'm not done with Tennessee football but I'm sure as hell not making the trip to Oregon and I have zero confidence that he can win recruiting battles against the top dogs in the SEC.

My level of excitement for Tennessee football is at an all time low.

As a fan you should never stop supporting the team. Won't tell anybody what they should do with their money though.

I guarantee you this was said by some dimwit:
-on a Notre Dame board during the Davie/O'Leary/Willingham/Weis era
-on a Florida board during the Zook era
-on an Alabama board during the Dubose/Franchione/Shula/Price era

But at least you'll be in the fine company of a host of fellow dimwits.

This, exactly.

Wasn't this exact same thing said when Dooley was hired?

And? My support for the University and its teams doesn't depend on whether it's successful at this very moment. I don't hate my wife because her hair looks funny when she wakes up, either. We're all ugly at some point or another.

You can find my UT crap on craiglist under free stuff. If its not gone by tomorrow then its going in the trash.

I'm sure Alabama will welcome you with open arms.

Do you just expect UT fans to sheepishly take all the crap that is given to us and say nothing and just accept it. If you truly love UT, you should want it to be better and not just accept the mediocrity it has become. BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

We are allowed to be unhappy, we are not obliged to blindly follow poorly made decisions that drastically impact the team we love. Even loyalists should be pissed, they don't care how we feel. The administration is a damn joke, as is Jones. Please don't be treated like dumb sheep that will show up regardless. Make them respect us as fans! We deserve a program that competes nationally. That ideology doesn't make me a bad fan, nor does it damn those who share this belief. This was such an important decision for Tennessee, we choked. If you support poor choices made by the athletic department, it illustrates to them that those actions are acceptable. The only way to voice your dissatisfaction for the direction the program has taken is to NOT spend your hard earned dollars. It's that simple, YOU CAN STILL LOVE THE VOLS, without financially supporting less than mediocrity.

Absolutely! DejaVu, all over again. Same Sunshine Pumpers calling anyone getting on Dooley's case, NegaVols. They get on their little soap box until reality slaps them in the chops.

Did you really think Dooley was going to win that game?

And to you sunshine pumpers....SUCK IT!

Kenny Powers seems about right for you... stupid, classless, graceless, hell-bent on immediate gratification at the expense of the future, and consumed with an inflated sense of self-worth that borders on mental illness.

You've got every right to complain if you think it's a bad hire. That's not the same thing as saying you're through supporting the team. My OP wasn't addressed to you.

I refuse to write this guy off as a failure before I see what he can do with this program. He accepted the job and is ready to take the challenge head on.. some are already saying he's a failure! Ridiculous.. give the man a chance.. on a side note, anyone want to sell me discounted season tickets for the lower level? I'm wanting to take my son to a few games. GBO!!

Hart, Cheek, and whoever else involved in hiring Jones just gave a big FU to all of the fans. I will not support this program if this program doesn't want to win.

See you in a few years when we have another coaching search.

Cue the "true fan" bull**** from all of the sheep.

The problem is people blindky followed some oster on a message board when jon gruden himself said he wasn't interested in the job. Dave hart never once said we are after gruden, yet for week's peopke believed this because some yahoo with nothing better to do said they had a 'source'. Even though on a daily basis tgeir word's proved to be lie's, peopke still chose to believe a lie, than accept gruden and his agent saying no. There was never at any point any proof that ut tried to get gruden, only some nobody with a 'source'.
