I am a UT fan first, but an SEC fan second. I want to see the SEC streak continue, even if it is Bama...again.

this type of mentality makes me sick.

how the hell could you root for bama? SERIOUSLY?! BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELF.

the SEC is the best and everyone knows it. WHO CARES IF THE SEC DOESN'T WIN.

Yeah I don't get the "cheer for the SEC team" thing either. I want every other team to lose. Always.

Now they have

Meaning...wait do Stanford and UCLA now play each other two weeks in a row?

I think Stanford has to beat UCLA next week for that to happen, or Oregon has to lose against Oregon St, because their division is not decided.

I don't cheer for them but I want the SEC teams to win out of conference games and if Tennessee's not in it, I want an SEC to win the national title. If you don't have title contenders you're going to be the equivalent of the Big East or WAC. Is that what you want?

exactly how does that help tennessee if other SEC teams are in the title game and we're not???

You don't think strength of the league helps recruiting, national attention, and consistently gives the teams that finish high a chance to play for the title? Look at tonight, Oregon may be done even though they're 1 of several with 1 loss. Alabama and Georgia are right back in it. Would that be the case if the league was mediocre. Louisville had no shot even if they'd kept winning.

No, because it means our rivals and direct competitors are experiencing success when we aren't.

Pretty flimsy argument to pull for Bama, which no UT fan should ever do under any circumstance.

so using our rivals success is going to help us in recruiting oh okay

So you want the SEC to be the Sun Belt or MAC except for the Vols. Goodbye recruiting, goodbye publicity, goodbye any national title hopes.
