To Protect and to Serve II

Do you believe the airline, a private company, can determine what behavior they deem as acceptable?
And again, I need more info to know what went on before the video started, but just based off of what they are saying and what I saw, it was a petty move by both sides. One person not wearing a seatbelt during takeoff is not a big deal. You think that if the plane crashes that the seatbelt will save him? Does anybody really give a damn if he did survive?

It's simple, he wasn't complying. It really doesn't matter what the potential was for not wearing his belt although I suppose it's a risk to others for him flying around the cabin. Wearing seat belts isn't just about saving the wearer in the event of a crash. There are events such as sudden turbulence, planes dropping unexpectedly etc where one can be tossed around the plane making it dangerous for other passengers. He had many opportunities to comply. They were more patient with him than they would have been with you or I.

Then he really made an ass out of himself by making everyone de-plane so he can be escorted from the plane. If you watched the video they explain that it's policy to do that because of the risk of the altercation becoming physical and endangering other passengers.

The guy is a selfish, entitled punk that should be barred from flying commercial again. That would most likely be the outcome had it been you or I.

You people and your silly azz rules. And save me with the turbulence danger nonsense. If it ever got to the point where it was bad enough to jerk around a guy of his size, you got bigger issues than one random guy in first class.

They let one guy ruin the trip for the other customers. Just fly the plane and STFU. Deal with it when you arrive at the destination and ban him for life.

Some of you people are so emotional.

Seatbelts on a plane is one if the most ridiculous things I've ever seen. I take dozens of flights a year and have never experienced turbulence remotely strong enough to bounce me out if my seat.

And they deplaned the passengers rather than simply banning him from future flights. Him wearing a seatbelt wasn't worth the trouble they imposed on other customers.
Ok, if they allowed him to skirt the rules, why would anyone follow them? The correct thing for him to have done was comply from the beginning like everyone else did. Then he had another chance by getting up an exiting the plane peacefully Instead of making everyone de-plane. But no, the entitled selfish prick had to make sure he tried to make some ridiculous point. Don't remove the blame from anyone but the moron that caused the whole incident.

At least 36 injured after Hawaii-bound flight hits severe turbulence
Don’t fasten your seat belt on all of your future flights.
Hopefully, cracking your head might knock some sense into your thick skull, idiot.
You can always find that one exception. But out of how many flights in a single year would something like that happen? And you're right, maybe a bump on the head will earn him a Darwin Award, but at least you didn't ruin the trip for the rest of the customers. I would be pizzed off if we had to deplane because some control freak allowed one passenger in first class get under his skin.

Fly the plane. Land the plane. Ban the guy from future flights.

I don't put my phone in airplane mode most of the time I fly. Not that I'm being a d**k, its just something I forget to do. But even then, WTF is airplane mode really supposed to do anyways? Every ******* flight I have been on, the passengers that religiously place their phones in airplane mode or turn them off at take off are whipping out their phones as soon as we land and are still on the tarmac.

You sure as hell better make sure that your seat is in the fully forward position for landing too. And for whatever reason you better not drink any alcohol that you brought on board. You have to pay $10 for a child sized bloody Mary instead. Flying is so dumb.

You should go into the military or law enforcement.
Lol. I thought you for for private companies/individuals being able to self govern? I can't believe you're into athlete/celebrity worship. That surprises me. Evidently a phone can interfer with the electronics on a plane, I have no idea if it's true. I can tell you what is true, a person flying around the cabin of a plane can be fatal to the person he/she lands on. You defending this bastard surprises me well maybe not so much.

I am perfectly fine with the private sector doing what they want in this case. But did the airline do any favors to the dozens of other passengers on the plane by deplaning and delaying their travel schedules over one passenger that wouldn't follow some arbitrary and petty rule?

How bout your bro, did he do any favors for any of the other passengers? Maybe place the blame where it resides instead of protecting the prick?

He is a loose cannon... I am not saying he isn't. What I am saying is that if I were a passenger on that plane, I would not GAF what one person does or does not do in terms of buckling their seatbelt or putting their phone in airplane mode. Just fly the damn plane a the airline deals with that specific individual later without affecting my travel plans.
