To those who think Malik can't contribute...

Please show me where I said he will be like them. I was using them as examples because they were all underrated unless you're going to tell me 2 star high school athletes typically start in the nfl. And it's not just because of who he plays, it's where. If he were playing in Texas or Florida he would be rated higher.

if my aunt had balls she'd be my uncle. We don't even know that he'd be starting in Texas. You just don't know. I could look through and find bunches of two star Texas players playing in the NFL, probably more. I could probably find two star players from Montana, Wymoing, Maine, Washington state, California, New Mexico, Florida, etc playing in the NFL. Point is, your whole argument is just one giant stretch.

Some of these arguments are just stupid. Most of you don't have a clue one way or the other. I'm not saying I do. I'm just sayin'. The one thing I do know is Foreman has been offered and he's bringing Swafford with him. I'm pretty sure the staff at UT thinks they can play or they wouldn't put the offer out. It don't mean squat what anybody on here thinks. Either get behind the Vols and this staff or go find you another team. This belittling of players before they even put on a helmet is pathetic. I wonder if Texas fans were this stupid when they offered "Johnny Football". Another 3 star recruit.

Get players that want to play for Tennessee and are willing to be good teammates. NOt every player has to be highly rated but it never hurts. You dont want to recruit all 3 star players but some will be good players.

Someone posted Foreman's track stats earlier and his 100 meter time is the fastest of any of the recruits in TN. And clearly he can play some football. Considering speed is our biggest weakness on defense, he seems like a great pickup. At the very least, he should be a great addition to return kicks/punts with CP gone. I do think there is some merit to the notion that if Foreman played in a higher profile mkt like Charlotte or Atl, he would be rated higher considering his track speed. The recruiting services love that sort of thing.

Agree with OP! As a Dobyns Bennett Graduate myself, I have seen Malik in action! Malik is a fast athlete, that given open field, will burn you up!

First post on the Nation. Guys I've been following DB everygame since 96' and I can tell you that these two guys are the best that I've seen come through here. The other is at ETSU working on his grades to potentially walk on at UT, Chris Sensabaugh. Malik is the fastest player I've seen and is going to brimg a lot of excitement to Knoxville. In my opinion, when the coaching staff gets a look at Swaffords ability they are going to realize they got a steal. Swafford is the most complete full package I've ever seen on any team in thr State Tennessee. Running game cutts, hands receiving, coverage om defense and kick returning. He can do it all. While Malik has the speed, Swafford has the game. I cant wait for the coaches reactions. GO VOLS

and before someone mentions he made some practice NFL squads and whatnot, let's not pretend like that made him good. He got burnt multiple times every game.

he was still good enough to play corner at Tennessee when we were still going to SEC title games.
