Also one of the main reasons we're beat out by UCLA was because of Looney's brother want to go out to LA and get his music career off the ground.

Definitely not a main reason, and probably not a reason at all. The Looney's had family already in LA, his brother could've gone out there years ago. Looney loved the UCLA campus and that is what really swayed him, having the last OV really helped as well.

That's why I don't care for one and done. You don't get to watch them grow in college. I prefer players that stick around at least until their juniors.

Agree. I think they should change the rule in bball to be like in football, with the caveat that they can come out of HS is they want/are good enough. In other words, if you think you're good enough for the NBA, get eval'ed and go through the draft, but if you think you need more development or simply want to go to college to get the experience and play bball there, then (like in football) you commit to stay 3yrs.

At least then, it isn't a sham for the CBB game, and they get close to a degree (or graduate if they take summer classes), so they can pull a Vince Carter, and finish it.

This. His demeanor and attitude on and off the court is something to be admired. Great kid.

Part of a very good, young nucleus in Orlando.

Very true with Oladipo, Tobias, Vucevic, and Harkless their future is bright. They need to add Marcus Smart this year in the draft. Or maybe even land Parker, Wiggins, or Randle!

Was great when he led the students in TBA to the Harlem Shake last year. When the TVs focused in on him and he stood up and saw how tall the person was I instantly tried to figure out which former Vol was behind the Storm Trooper mask. The Tommy Bowl erupted when he started dancing as he ripped the mask off and everyone could see who he was.

Only a violation if school in some fashion orchestrated it. Such as Coaches, players, boosters etc... Random fans cannot be controlled and therefore the school isn't responsible. Now on the other hand since coaches can't be linked to it don't think for a second on the official visit that any coach wouldn't walk the player and his family past that rock.

3/2/14: New career high in points against the Philly cheese steaks. Trumps his previous career high of 30, set last year (twice).

Tobias is averaging 15 / 7 on the season. Coming off a slow start due to being out the first six weeks of the season with nagging ankle injury.

Over the last seven games, he's scoring 20.6 pts and pulling down 6.1 rebounds. The Magic bought out Glen Davis' contract after the all-star break, and Tobias has seen more time at his natural PF position as a result.

And I'm sure it didn't help either when CCM tried to explain his offensive philosophy, as well as his sub patterns and thoughts on late-game strategy.

Yeah, must suck being an All-SEC player...

Agree. What a moronic post. Stokes has improved his FT shooting by almost 15% this year and developed a decent jumper to go a long with a very physical low post game. Probably went from a mid-second round pick at best to a possible first rounder. Yeah, awful choice on his part.

Stokes is not a 1st rounder. Maybe late 2nd round

I never said Stokes isn't a player. What I said was I bet he wishes he could reconsider his decision to attend UT and play for CCM. I base that on the rationale that any player at that level wants to compete for conference championships and play in the tourney every year...something CCM's teams haven't done.

IMO, he would be the player he is regardless of where he chose to go to school.

No, it doesn't. What does suck is being an All-SEC caliber player, but playing for a team that doesn't play in the tourney and a coach who is participating in some 'on-the-job' training.

Lol we've had Cuonzo for three years including this one, people act like it's been decades since we last played in the tournament. We'll be in the tournament this year :)

And I agree, Stokes would be the same type of player wherever he would have attended.
