Did we just not live thru a 3-5 year time period where a large contingent of false allegations and scandals were made country wide? Hell didn't Tennessee just a few short years ago have a player get drug thru hell and his career sidelined because of false rape accusations only to be acquitted? I'm not saying the women claiming this happened are liars or attention seeking. I'm literally looking at this objectively and not allowing fandom to determine whether I think someone is guilty or not.

Do NOT even pretend that false rape accusations are EVER more than a drop in the ocean compared to actual rape or sexual assault.

You seem to harp on proof. Well, where your proof that the women involved were making false accusations? If you don't have it then shame on you for suggesting they made it up for personal gain. And if you don't think or don't know that's what is going on, then don't even make a statement like the one above, because we all know what you are suggesting even if you tried to "caveat" it later.

You seem to harp on proof. Well, where your proof that the women involved were making false accusations? If you don't have it then shame on you for suggesting they made it up for personal gain. If any head coach is sexually harassing students of a university or sending unsolicited dick pics to students, they need to be fired with undeniable proof that it happened. And it shouldn’t be hard to get the undeniable proof since it’s upwards of 5-10 individuals making allegations.

Regardless of your views on anyone because of fandom, the burden of proof is on the women to validate and present evidence it happened, not on Golden to prove they didn’t happen.

So yes, I harp on proof because those making allegations have only offered testimony to the media.

And i have been crystal clear on this whole issue the past 24 hours. I don’t need to caveat anything. I’m capable of being completely objective on things of this nature. Even if that means going against the folks who let their fandom decide when and who they care about getting a hissy fit about.

Just use some logic. Do you think the student newspaper is going to report anonymous sources against their succesful basketball coach without verifying at least some of what is reported? You are risking your job/education and opening yourself to be legally liable, for what? It's not like the student newspaper is interested in generating extra clicks for revenue.

I’m sorry but a few mean words online if exposing and verifying these things happens is a sorry excuse when the overwhelming majority of people on and off line would support Golden getting canned for his actions.

Because that is literally the outcome here. Go public, provide the goods, and Golden gets canned for being a proven creep. Majority of people would support these people. Sadly the village idiots in media or commentators latch on to the small fringe because they are good for ratings.

And there are people who verified to know the women’s identity already. So let’s not act like the fan base reaction wouldn’t have already leaked identities.

There are 8-10 people making allegations. It isn’t like it’s just 1-2 families that have to worry about blowback that last longer than a 3 year old’s hissy fit.

If there is verifiable proof and evidence that the head coach of Florida is sending unsolicited dick pics and sexually harassing female students at the university, it needs to be made public and he needs to be fired.

Now if these folks making the allegations decided on a dollar amount in exchange for their silence going forward, it’s over.

If everyone agrees the school covered it up and the testimony from the student paper includes the following statement, what is stopping everyone from getting out of an environment that isn’t tilted in the university’s favor? especially when you have 10 individuals involved.

“I think it is just a sick ******* joke that they’re all doing, within that organization, all the coaches,” she said. “They probably get off by showing each other the pictures…There’s something ******* sick going on there.”

You are assuming they are choosing to cover it up as the only option. The reporters could have been privately reprimanded and threatened. They could have seen what they believe to be evidence, but do not have access to it or are not given permission to share it. The paper could have surrendered everything to the school only for the title 9 investigation to side with the school and Golden for any number of reasons. The school could have set up non-disclosure agreements with the accusers, leaving the reporter with no legal support if they wanted to try and fight a large university in court, etc. There could ne a number of reasons for the school's newspaper to back down from the university's interests.
