I don't see him as rejecting Christs message.
i see him as spreading Christs message.
Saul was a very evil man before he was converted. After conversion he spent his life preaching for donations.
FYP. One thing that can be said to be explicit in most of Saul's Epistles is his constant request for donations; he was easily the first "Christian fundraiser", probably one of the reasons he was so willing to alter his message, as distinct from that of Peter, James, and Mark, to appease most of the customs and traditions of his audience. He certainly turns many local customs (and local grievances against the Roman Empire) into "Christian practices" (or "Christian grievances"); things that the character Christ was never concerned about.
