Without question Tennessee has the hardest rebuilding job as far as the new SEC coaches go.

The easiest? Tom says Kentucky.

I suppose this could be argued, but how exactly are Arkansas, Auburn, or UK, in a CLEARLY better position moving forward.

Not buying it grease ball.

Bah, we've been rebuilding since 2008, so it must not be that hard anymore.

Dooley had top 20 recruiting classes. It's not like he left the cupboard bare. We just needed a coach for our talent.

Luginbill is an idiot. He sure scammed ESPN, the world's largest sports TV and radio network to hire him as an expert. They should have consulted VN b4 that gaffe.

I think what he was saying is Tennessee fell farther than the other schools hiring new coaches, therefore, Tennessee has a longer road to rebuild to where they were 10 years, ago. Kentucky feel the least because they have never a very good football team. therefore it will easier for they to get back to where they were. Makes sense when you look at from that point of view.

Luginbill got a raw deal in college. Went to GT and won the starting QB job, but the team liked the previous QB, Donnie Davis, and thought Davis should have kept his job. That 1994 team was loaded with talent but they went 1-10. I've always felt bad for Luginbill, he did what he was supposed to do which is play his best, but the coach Bill Lewis forgot football is a team sport and turned the team against him.

Same thing could happen here. UT has talent, is this the right staff to pull out victories against Georgia, Florida, and USCe this year? All 3 games were winnable in 2012.

I don't know, maybe their fanbases don't have the lunatic fringe that we seem to have. I could see the crazies being a detractor.

I am absolutely sick of the mindset we now have as Vol fans. We already have losses chalked up next year before we've even played them. I am ready to get back to the confidence that we can beat any team, any day of the week. I think until we get our mindset back like that, then we'll go into games scared and expecting to lose.

If we win, they will all shut-up, and I think we will. CBJ has an attitude and energy his predecessor only dreamed about.

It's going to be hard to win next year. I just wanna see the boys line up right, quit jumping off sides in critical situations like on 3rd and short at home against Florida (i know its in the swamp next year), and just flat out quit acting like their scared and start acting like they came to kick some arses and i'll be a happy Big Orange fan next year.

A Kentucky rebuild = field a team
An Auburn rebuild = Cheat and field a good team
Arkansas rebuild = win 7 or 8 games a year
UT rebuild = compete in and win SEC championships

Thats why its considered a tougher task

That makes no sence, or cents, or sents either....

I thought ESPN said a couple of weeks/months ago that Tennessee was the best job open this year...

Does any of these so called experts ever do any research before they say things?

What about...... sense?

If that doesnt work for ya, how bout ....scents?

Could possibly be the 4 coaches in 5 years, or 2 5-7 seasons in a row, or the lack of quality depth at certain positions, or "THE BIG 3" possibly declaring, or how bad our defense was, or our upcoming schedule........

Not to worry - we have scoured the earth and come up with the best coaching staff in America. Who would have guessed - they were all either fired by Georgia or parked in Cincinnati.

It must be the fanbase. Its always the fanbase that screws it up. Everyone knows how the fans run things in multi-million dollar organizations.
In fact, I just got a secret encrypted letter in my mailbox that said I had been randomly chosen to make the next crossroads decision regarding UT football.
For the record, I've decided not to use any outside resources or firms that may have experience in these matters.

And this guy provides a living with this stuff? So I guess if he was a coach and was offered these jobs he would take Kentucky? CBJ should have gone to UK over UT? Sure the fans expect to win...and SO DO THE COACHES!

It's ESPN folks, what did you expect? Tom Luginbill is usually a "tell it to you straight" guy. He must have been reprimanded by the Corporate jag-offs, and had to put us back in our place. At least it wasn't Chris "Trailer Trash" Fowler running his pie hole.

kentucky wants to go from sh** to dirt...i'd say that's probably the easiest job

Didn't Luginbill say NC State would beat us and Amerson would "expose" Tyler Bray?? Why doesn't anybody care what he thinks anyways?? OF course Kentucky is the easiest, they have ZERO EXPECTATIONS!!! I'm still shocked Joker got fired, I figured beating UT would have gotten him a 20 year extension.
