Tommy Tuberville is running for the US Senate in Alabama in 2020

Tubbs is DA and has no business being a senator. At the same time, perhaps if they had not waited until the backlog got so big by doing their job, then this wouldn't be such a big task.
I don't know all the rules, but

The usual RINO Republicuck losers are up to their tricks.

it's been discovered that more than 40% of the nominees are beholden to DEI and other left-wing ideology at odds with an effective fighting force. The plan to run interference for Biden admin and its woke Pentagon is reportedly scheduled for 6p tonight. Just fyi. We'll see who exactly is involved and what happens.

I don't know all the rules, but

From the AP

“Generally, leaders in the majority party get around this by holding a series of votes to move a measure and dispense of the hold. It just takes some additional time on the Senate floor.

But Tuberville’s blockade is unique because there are hundreds of military nominations and promotions, and Democratic leaders would have to hold roll call votes on every single one of them to get around the hold. It’s a decades-long tradition for the Senate to group military promotions together and approve them by voice vote, avoiding lengthy roll calls.”

They just didnt want to do the work. It's not like they are pumping out legislation. They could easily be working on this. If it's important. It might take months. They've had months.

So all the other senators are the problem with this picture, because they don't want to sit there for hours doing roll calls on promotions.

I already said Tubbs was a problem. All the other senators biatching now bc it's so long are disingenuous. They let it get it this long is the point. Shut his ass down the moment he did it on nomination one. Perhaps he gets the point.

Tuberville is an a-hole, wanker, Alabama idiot. The guy didn't even know the three branches of the U.S. government when
he was elected. Only in freakin' Alabama could a college football coach cum blockhead get elected to the U.S. Senate--and fairly easily.
Alabama being Alabama.

"This development represents “rank creep” that does not enhance mission success but clutters the chain of command, adds bureaucratic layers to decisions, and costs taxpayers additional money from funding higher paygrades to fill positions. As end-strength fluctuates, force structure and strength projections for the next decade show the uniformed Services maintaining substantial excess capacity at senior ranks. Although historical numbers are inexact guides and future threats could radically change circumstances, the case for reduction is strong. The Department of Defense (DOD) should reduce the numbers, billets, and percent of GO/FOs in each Service to increase efficiency, streamline decisionmaking, achieve modest cost savings, and enhance accountability of decisionmaking."

Article from 2017.

I have not seen enough to say he’s dumb.

He screwed up the three branches of the U.S. government---didn't know what they were. So, yea, he's dumb. Though certainly a lot of rubes don't know, either. "But we can tell you how an AR-15 works, ain't that right, Earl?"

Rube.
Earl

Man if there was anyone that needs new material it’s you.

When you resort to calling names you are in a weak position. You sir remain there in perpetuity.
