The only candidates that I would realistically consider are Tuberville and Butch Davis. They have proven that they can rebuild and win quickly at the top levels of the game.

Gruden has always been nothing more than an old pipe dream, Shaw is not leaving Stanford-it is a dream job and great fit for him. Strong is a good DC, but has not proven himself in the big leagues of college football.

200+ wins in the SEC is doing a pretty good job. With what he has done at Texas Tech, I think he would be able to recruit well here. At around 2.5 million a year, I think he would make alot of sense.

You could be right. I dont think you can go solely off past record, every situation is different. He could come here and do a good job. There's just a couple people that would have to tell me no first.

i get why people aren't uber-excited by TT, but what if TT were to bring in petrino as OC and chizik as DC - both worked under him in past

that'd be some fireworks

Definitely no tubby but Shaw is right up there with strong for me he would be really good!!!!!

I wondered about that. I thought 200 wins seemed like alot and I did not think he was at AU that long. I did not go look it up. I agree there would be several guys I would have to hear no from before Tuberville would be hired. Gruden, Patterson, and Jones just to name a few.

I'd like to see us hire Tubberville so he can keep Sal Sunseri and beat his ass during football games on the sidelines.

Tubs or Butch Davis are who we need. Both are defensive mindd coaches who will bring NFL level schemes and are both known for turning programs around. Just what the doctor ordered.
