Tony B. Booted By 1180 AM

Tony will land on his feet like he always has....and all his callers and listeners will follow along with Tony's loyal sponsors. TSR will continue to survive but whatever show goes up against Tony's new time slot elsewhere will not be on my radar.

Stations across the south are just lining up for TonyB. Not really.

I tried to listen to Ainge this morning and OMG..... He was debating w himself whether CBJ was "rebuilding" the program or "building" the program....

It was unbearable so I had to turn it off. He even commented that he called some recruits to get their opinions and maybe even a "quote"!!!

Hell after CPF in the latter years, Kiffen and Dooley, I would say that the "program" had been almost completely dismantled.

Regardless, it is pitiful that the only morning sports talk from locals is DJ&H and Ainge; both are pretty sorry. And Ainge and JB sophomoric humor is tired and quite annoying.

I sort of agree. Their humor is only funny to them. When they interview guests they crack some stupid joke to the guest and Ainge spends more time talking about himself than the guest. Shut up and do a straight interview already. And his opinions at times are absurd. He gets so deeply analytical and rambles on where I don't think he knows what the h$ll he's talking about.

Ainge would be a lot better as the second man on a sports show. His insight is very interesting during the season, he's just so bad when it comes to radio 101.

If Ainge and Jason don't change somethings they will eventually put themselves out of business. No one wants to listen to locker room humor. Its almost akin to 13 year olds laughing about passing gas and burping. I mean really, I don't have the time to listen to that juvenile romper room garbage.

You can be entertaining and funny without regressing to the lowest common denominator of crude boyish humor. They won't last long and if they want more UT access, they will not get it the way they are going.

I don't think they care. Its who they are. The sad part is the station has potential.

Ainge was a breath of fresh air when he started. But I gotta agree, his act has gotten stale. The downward slide coincides with Jaybay constantly chiming in.

Jaybay should be working his ass off off-air, getting interviews lined up, cool remotes, etc., because he's killing his own product.

Yeah, TSR is super low rent and unprofessional. Unfortunately, it's also the best sports radio station in town. Wish they would put a little more effort into their product, because it's still the only station in town where you can hear UT Sports discussed by people who actually care about UT Sports.

jaybay offers nothing to the show, he's a yes man who can't disagree with EA on anything. I like the insite EA give when he's talking football, but jaybay needs to be on the phone making his station better. I hope TB finds a good station.

growing up playing sports I like it as oppose to listening to the losers who typically didnt play sports (clay travis).
as someone mentioned they arent gonna change and why would you want them to? when I hear a personality on the radio I like to think that is who they are, not someone who is fake (clay travis)

They are passionate, they just don't know anything about it.

Being negative about everything is not my definition of passionate.

Tony just finds a negative subject and throws it out there and then lets the same 8-10 callers agree with him for 2 hours every day. He has found that is much easier than actually doing show prep.

I was talk about doc,Jeff and heather

Jacoby and Heather are impossible to listen to.
Yes they are but I do like the local sports station over the national ones because its about us. We can voice our opinions. Hell even that nut Cattleman can voice his narcissistic thoughts. You can't get through on the national shows.

One is a Kentucky fan. The other is an Ohio State fan. Heather doesn't even really count.

That's a good one. You're right. When she does her analysis on the practices she sounds like she's guessing. I don't believe in putting down a female sports personality because most know what they're doing but she has no clue. (Is that sexist?)

Most female sportscasters don't seem to have a clue about what's going on. ESPN and other stations have them for our eyes to look at. It may be sexist, but its about dollars and cents.
