Bazz vs. Noel is like comparing apples to oranges. Bazz was meant to gun, Noel is a straight-up defender.

Being reported that amille Jefferson is leaning towards Nc State, if UK misses on him and Bennett they're hurting.

And mark Lyons who was considering UK, is going to Zona. UK needs Bennett in the worst way possible.

You over dramatize everything. UK has the #1 class in Rivals, #2 in Scout, and are a preseason top 5. You make it sound like one of Wade Houstons old hauls. Bennett would make them a serious contender, but not landing him doesn't make them mediocre.

On a positive note, you having a promising career in some type of sales capacity, most likely life insurance.

UK is not top 5 if they miss on bennett, sorry.

Also, I'll gladly make a friendly bet with you if they miss on Bennett. Deal???

I'm sorry but is:

Harrow/beckham
Goodwin
Poythress/hood
Cauley/Wiltjer
Noel

Seriously supposed to scare me? The depth is garbage, and if an injury or foul trouble occurs in any game they're in trouble.

Yes they are, according to any poll you look at. Doesn't matter if you're sorry or not.

If they miss on Bennett, or you're saying they will miss on Bennett? If you're going to gamble do it right.

I never asked if they scared you, nor do I care. My statement was that they are a #1 recruiting class, and a top 5 preseason team, both of which are irrefutable by multiple media outlets, whereas you make it sound like they are grasping to go .500 in the league next season. So whether you are scared or not doesn't concern me one iota.

Also, considering the haul that Calipari is set to bring in for the 13' class, I'm willing to ride out a less than stellar season.

Early 2012-13 Ranking: A Look Ahead | College Basketball by Collegehoops.net

10* Kentucky* Kentucky's roster will most likely be decimated as Anthony Davis and Terrence Jones will undoubtedly leave, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist is 70% gone (even if he says he's staying), and Doron Lamb and Marquis Teague are certainly First Round worthy. Plus Darius Miller and Eloy Vargas are seniors. Archie Goodwin, Alex Poythress, and Willie Cauley are all Top 40 prospects, but not as good as the guys they're replacing.

Kentucky will be an interesting team next year. No juniors or seniors. Despite the "one and dones" that Cal usually has, he's always had a solid upperclassman leader on his UK squads.

This year, not so much. Wiltjer's goofy arse is the only one that worn a UK jersey before. They'll have talent. No depth and no experience. I wouldn't put them in the top 5.

Well, he does have Duke #1...

Wiltjer will start over Cauley. Cauley isn't going to do much next year, imo. At least Wiltjer can shoot.

I do think that UK will be Top 10. They'll be right around five, imo, give or take a few spots. If they land Bennett, they'll be right up there with Indiana for that top spot.

Speaking of 2013 classes, I'm liking ours. We already have Kasey Hill (consensus 5* PG), and are the presumed favorite for Chris Walker (consensus Top 10 PF/C). Then we're in on a lot of other good players, including a few Memphis prospects (Nichols, Crawford). It could be one of the best classes we've had in a long time.

He visited Lexington yesterday, and is apparently returning tonight.

Kentucky Sports Radio » Blog Archive » Lyons to return to Lexington tonight?

There seem to be conflicting reports on that.

If Lyons ends up at UK, no offense, but an investigation should be launched immediately. It makes no sense, he had said he wasn't to play point, not a combo guard, and no exception to it. He's guaranteed the starting PG at zona, and will be a combo at UK. Factor in the miller connection at Zona, and it really just doesn't add up.

There was talk that cal thought he could get him to commit on his visit. Obviously Lyons didn't, so for him to make a late night return to UK when he's supposed to be heading to Zona, is a bit fishy.

Out of curiousity...is that the same site that claimed Bennett was committing to UK at the Jordan game?

“@GTuckerF150: Just spoke with source that said UK has made a good run at Xavier transfer Mark Lyons, but it still looks like Arizona is the favorite”

KSR didn't report that about bennett, the article was from another blog, the link was just found on KSR.

As I said, doesn't make sense for him to go there.

Has said specifically, he won't play combo guard, why does that change? Money?

I'll believe this late night rendezvous when Lyons shows up in Lexington tonight, and I'll still go with my feeling he's wildcat bound, Arizona wildcat that is,

I will add, I say Lyons to zona, Bennett to Florida, and Jefferson to UK.

Harris, a highly rated post from V Tech, will e back on the market as well and will probably get pursued by UK.
