Tony Romo just said about Heupel

CJH has a chance to be to Tennessee as Saban is to Alabama when you think long term. I think recruits will be knocking the door down to get in. I think he knows what he has here.

"NFL teams are interested, not saying he'll go", but said "just telling you, he's on the radar of every NFL team".. Jim Nantz followed "I know you and I know you know something" Romo followed up saying "he's wanted in the NFL"

Wow... Pay him, now. Alot.
How'd that work out for Michigan State and Mel Tucker? Or A&M and Jimbo? If an NFL team seriously wants him, they can pay whatever it takes.

I know that it’s almost everyone’s dream of playing/coaching in the NFL, but I get the feeling that CJH is genuinely happy here. He knows what he has and what he is building. He sees the potential. I don’t see him leaving and stepping into a world of unknowns when he can see what he has here at UT. Money shouldn’t be an issue, that‘s the easiest point to resolve for any job hire/retention.

To be honest that is probably the farthest thing in his mind. But we all can sit here and make ourselves sick thinking about it. But like I said in another thread he could be the next big thing in the sec if he stays put.

A good college coach can receive an immortality that very few NFL coaches could ever dream of. We still talk about Neyland, Dickey, Battle, and Majors like they are old acquaintances. Who wouldn’t want to be at a place where you were still the topic of daily conversation 50 to 80 years after you are gone?
