Tony Stewart ran over another driver.

He was so high, his judgement was impaired? Yet he drove a car competitively with guys like Stewart flying around the track, and in turn also became irate, just as high people tend to get.

You realize he wrecked before he was dumb enough to get out on a live track? Maybe there was a reason he wrecked or got wrecked.

The Grand Jury was probably given more details than we ever were and if the majority thought he was innocent then so be it. I personally didn't think he was when I saw the video.

Everyone is not affected the same way by any drug. I was a drug addict back in my 20s. I saw guys who were ordinarily very hyper, do meth and chill completely out, adversely I saw guys who were real low key, smoke and go like Energiser bunnys. Generally speaking, any specific drug effects the majority of users the same, but there are definitely exceptions in pretty large numbers in my experience.

How soon before this gets turned into some "weed kills" ad, except without mentioning you need to be in one of the most dangerous sports and then also be extremely dumb after wrecking and being fine.

To be fair, most of my friends who smoke consistently (one of whom gets pepped up when he smokes and the rest calm down) never do anything dangerous, or even remotely. Most won't even go pick up a pizza, they'll make them deliver.

weed generally doesn't make you confrontational unless you are confronting a bag of Funyuns

One of my friends who lives in a state where its legal and smokes at least once a week texted me today in fact and his exact words were,

"duuude.... Machetes, Duct Tape, Ceiling and rotary fans."

I kinda wanted him to continue, but he didn't.

If you watch the tape, the car two car's in front of Tony's is going the same speed at the same spot on the track. The difference is Ward didn't run out in front of that car.

so what has come of this?

The kid was found to have drugs in his system. The expert said the level was high enough that it could have affected his judgement. Everybody wanted to hang Tony. He wasn't the dummy that got out of his car and stormed down a dim lit track wearing a black racing suit and helmet.

I think the accident has worked on Tony mentally. He is not the driver he was before it happened.

Oh jeez! When I saw this thread title I didn't recognize it as the old thread. I thought it was a new one, saying TS ran over another driver. Whew!
