Ky up 63-55 over OU after three. Both teams look pretty good and the perimeter play is much better than TN's. I hate it.

I said the same exact thing! There guard play is much better than ours. Also, they are picking apart Oklahoma's zone!

Joyner Holmes doing a very good Candace Parker impersonation with a coast to coast layup following a defensive rebound. She's gonna be a really good player for Texas.

Nice decapitation there by Lang. Did rhey find where Aja's head rolled off to?

right! she has four fouls and she is consistently hacking the posts for SC. & calling travels when they arent even in your clear view

I'm so frustrated watching these other teams play. We have just as much talent and we look terrible against average teams. These young women are out here competing and actually taking care of the ball.

Kentucky beats #12 Oklahoma 82-68. It's the second Kentucky win over a ranked opponent. They beat Miami earlier. Kentucky isn't playing like they are depleted although they are very thin inside. Ahkator is foul prone and Rice is fairly pedestrian. But man their guards if they are on are tough. Epps with 30.

SCar only has 5 assists that can't be right? Just give Wilson the ball and let her finish out the game for ya Dawn. She has no help tonight.

Texas' guards played really good defense. Those entry passes just weren't there for Carolina.

Really impressed with Tyasha Harris. She is the PG that will run this team. Great passer, takes care of the ball and a stingy defender. Too bad Tennessee missed out on her.

Did you get a chance to watch her over the summer for USAB... she was spectacular and that was a rag-tag poorly coached team to say the least. When she was in she made them look really good. Great get by Dawn.

No, didn't see her at USAB, but I've been impressed by her play in the last two games. She's gotten more PT than Bianca Cuevas, who hasn't exactly been playing poorly. Poor Bianca was wearing her warm ups by the third quarter tonight.

SC is in good shape at PG with those 2. Harris really helps smooth out their offense. Her clock management tonight was really good, and her defense on McCarty was impressive. She doesn't score a lot, and really needs to develop a 3-pt shot...but once she does, she could be another Tiffany Mitchell.

RE the SC-texas game, I watched to get a look at Davis mostly--and for various stretches she was barely noticeable. Everybody talks about how she loves to shoot, but she only took six shots and had a quiet 12 points--plus 5 turnovers.

We will have trouble scoring against SC as they are big and pretty athletic and we are not very good offensively.

Harris will have a field day against us and they will play volley ball until it goes in the basket on missed shots.Wilson is proving this year why she was rated the # 1 player her SR yr coming out of high school.

I don't know how much of a scoring threat Harris will be since she doesn't look for her shot. But she will be a pest against the Tennessee PG on defense. Bianca Cuevas is the more dangerous guard who will look to drive and score against the slow Tennessee backcourt. Gray isn't particularly fast, so if her jump shot is not falling, she won't be as dangerous if she has to rely on driving into the paint.

A'ja Wilson is just good. Texas was really physical with her, and she got stuffed at least 4 times by Kelsey Lang, but she still powered through for a career game and carried the team when Coates was saddled with foul trouble and Davis/Gray didn't shoot well.

From what I witnessed last nite Harris was not hesitant at all driving to the basket and was the defference in SC pulling away in the 4th quarter .....or did my eyes deceive me ?

The female announcer(Doris Burke) for the SC/Texas game was annoying. Something about her voice. I would love to see Kara Lawson do the play by play instead of just analysis, although her and Lobo do a good job with analysis.

She had one play where she drove past her defender to just outside the paint and nailed a short jumper, but most of her shot attempts were with the shot clock winding down and her expecting to draw contact and get to the FT line, or wide open threes that Texas dared her to shoot (which she did) and missed every time.

She reminds me of Ariel Massengale, who was also very good at creating for herself with the shot clock winding down instead of the current crop of Tennessee guards who just throws the ball to Diamond standing 5 feet behind the arc with 1 second left on the shot clock. Once she develops a consistent outside shot, I think she will be one of the best PGs in the game. Great size, athleticism, and basketball IQ.

What I saw was her driving to the basket three successive times in 4th quarter and hitting two shots and being fouled on the 3rd attempt or were the announcers wrong in identifying that player as Harris ?

I think we're saying the same thing. She had three plays where she drove to the basket hard. She made the shot once, she was awarded FTs the other two times (once was off a fast break, the other was with the shot clock winding down).

lmao at all ya'll gushing about Harris, just like K Davis after her 1st game back and since then she has been a hot mess. :)

Excluding the OSU game, 10.4 ppg, 4.8 rpg, 2.6 apg, FG 40% 3PTFG 46% is a hot mess? I wish Tennessee had more hot messes on their team.

It seems Kaela likes to show up against good teams. Her worst games were against a pair of cupcakes that SC beat by a combined 90+ points. Against the three ranked opponents, her numbers are: 20.6 ppg, 7 rpg, 2.3 apg, FG 49%, 3PTFG 60%. I'm sure Dawn is very happy to have a player that comes to play in the big games.

They don't even have the best talent in the country. They are good individual players, but no one like a Stewart or Jefferson on thid year's team. But they play together so well. It's like they are all on the same wavelength.

6'1 C and 5'11 PF and they are completely dominant. Texas is playing better then they did in their two losses, so I'm really curious to see how they do against UConn

QUOTE]

Unfortunately, Texas does not stand a chance against UCONN. They will lose by 30. South Carolina will lose to UCONN by 20. The LVs would lose by 40 if they played UCONN. I am realistic and accepting the current state of WCBB.
