Top 50 QB's in the BCS Era

Tee Martin did some great things at Tennessee, but y'all are nuts if you think he's one of the top 50 QBs of the past 15 years. He was a very serviceable QB with good wheels that threw a nice deep ball and figured out how to play to his strengths. Nothing more; nothing less.

I respectfully disagree. I think he should be within the top 15 at least. There is afew QB's on the list that fit the mold you speak of that dont have a NC win. Tee wasnt the greatest but like you said he played to his strengths and was 22-3 as a starter. During his two years as a starter we were undefeated against 4 of our main conference rivals, (2–0 vs Alabama, 2–0 vs Auburn, 2–0 vs Georgia, 2–0 vs Kentucky, and 1–1 vs Florida). GBO

Where would you rank McCarron?

Actually, I would say that Cutcliffe figured out how to play to Tee's strengths. Unfortunately, Tee did not improve from his junior to his senior season, at least not statistically. I don't consider that Tee's fault, however, as Randy Sanders wasn't half the quarterbacks coach or offensive coordinator that Cutcliffe was.

First post ever: based on that list, its a travesty that Tee and Casey aren't on it. Whether its top 50 or next 25, they are definitely in that group. No questions asked. They are too many jokes of qb's on that list with zero results to not have those two.

Hes at #7 and that might be a good spot for him maybe #5. I think the thing that hurts him is his rushing stats, which aint much to write home about. He doesnt have to rush alot because his WR's get open and Alabamas O doesnt have many designed QB rushing plays for him because they are loaded in the backfield. Alabama runs alot but hes got good numbers in the passing category and he doesnt throw many INT's. That being said Alabamas O line does protect him and could make alot of sub-par QBs look good. If I recall correctly I read that HC NS said that AJ manages the game better than anyone he has ever seen. Hes got 3 NC Rings-2 as starting QB and was the BCS Offensive MVP for 2012. I think hes a little overshadowed by Alabamas RBs,HC, and his girlfriend. :) With all of that-For the record I HATE Alabama. GBO
