Tostitos Fiesta Bowl: #4 Oregon vs. #5 Kansas State, 8:30pm ET, ESPN

Wow. Glad he is gone. Hopefully nobody pulls that garbage next year.

no, they're too far down. If they were seriously considering doing so, they'd have had them at 2 rather than 3.

Plus they'd also have to make up 200 voter points, which is a large gap when you're not even playing a game.

Oh ok, thats good news

Wow. Glad he is gone. Hopefully nobody pulls that garbage next year.

He has bad tackling fundamentals and would get destroyed against bigger backs. I'm sad he won't be back. A better player will take his spot.

A 1 point safety? That is awesome. I always knew that was a rule but had never seen it in a game.

I always figured that it probably would happen on the other side of the field's endzone than on the scoring side honestly (resulting from some strip/punch the ball free right before the goal line)

Mariotta is the player of the game only by default. I didn't think he was spectacular. I really think Oregons defense stepped up tonight. Let their offense fly a little bit

In HS and NCAA, you can score one point if you are awarded a safety during a try (extra point). So it would be possible for the defense to score only one point but somehow the offense would have to lose 97 yards and be responsible for putting the ball into their own end zone

Or (about as likely) while the attempt is blocked and returned, the ball is stripped/punched free right before the far goal line and the offensive player falls on it in the endzone / kicks it out the back of the end zone, right?

I dun seen the play and dad burn it if I did not see that dang ol referee call the gosh darn point dag nab it so I wuz wondering to my lonesum self how in the gosh darn heck did that dang ol score get to 32 I tell ya what.
