Since people are speculating about the slim possibility of seeing UT in the title game (a possibility that will most likely be even more distant after the LSU game), I thought I would offer up the matchup problem:

Tosu has an incredible running game, a great passing game, and a mobile quarterback. If they beat Michigan, then they will have proven that they can shut down a team that runs and passes the ball very well. So, does anyone in here actually think that Tosu is not at least 3 scores better than UT?

I would love to win out and play Texas in a BCS Bowl Game. I believe that game would be a shootout that we could win 48-42...

Ohio State's defense is the most impressive part of their team to me. Then that offense, wow.

Most complete team in the country.

Ohio State was no. 1 for most of 1995. Eddie George won the Heisman. OSU was considered unstoppable. However, OSU lost to Michigan in its last game and dropped into a tie for #4 with Tennessee. Tennessee's only loss was to Florida when they blew a big halftime lead. Tennessee won the matchup between these 2 teams 20-14.

As soon as somebody crowns a team as unbeatable, that team usually loses. See how few times in history a team has gone wire-to-wire for a full season as No. 1.

I would also like to point out that OSU has only played 1 ranked team.... an overrated Texas team. The next ranked team they play is Michigan. At least Michigan has played 2 ranked teams (Wisconsin and an overrated Notre Dame team).

Jay Grahm had more yards than E George when we played them in the Citrus

The 2006 Tosu team has beaten 8 teams by 21 or more; they beat Texas by 17.

Also, that 1995 Tosu team gave up 20 or more points in 6 games that season (prior to the bowl game.) So far this season, they have given up 17 to Iowa and and 12 to NIU. They have limited every other team on their schedule to one score (save PSU, who kicked 2 FGs.)

Yes, Eddie George played for Tosu in 1995, however, Nebraska was clearly the best team in the nation in 1995. There was little, if any, doubt around the country about that (it was basically a race for #2.) In 2006, there are absolutely no teams in Tosu's league!

I know you believe in them and root for them with 100% of your heart. That being said, I'm glad you think LSU will win ...... you had Minnesota upsetting Ohio State. :)

Okay, as an Ohioan, I'm first and foremost sick to death of the Big Ten bullcrap that infests college football! Yes, OSU has a good team, NO they are not unstoppleable, and that will be proven in a couple weeks. Michigan will win in a close game, thus turning the scarlet and gray faithful jumping to their deaths from the Nationwide building in downtown Columbus!

Honestly, if either of these two teams (OSU/Mich) we placed in the SEC they'd lose 3-4 games every single freaking year! OSU has played one difficult game (Texas) when they were extremely young in experience. They look really good when the compitition is so very bad! Mich.State? Indiana? Iowa? Bowling Green (WTF)? please, if they had to compete with the likes of the SEC they'd be begging to be put out of their misery. As far as I'm concerned the best team in the country is whoever wins the SECCG in the ATL. The rest our simply runners up! Florida, Auburn, Tennessee, LSU, would all give OSU a beating they wouldn't soon forget!

By the way, OSU 21 MICH 27, on the 18th!

Yeah, the 2002 OSU team would have really struggled in the SEC. So would the '97 Michigan team.

We are too one dimmensional to hang with them... Our only hope to see them lose is Michigan, or call 2001 Miami out of the past to play them.
