As I've said 190987 times here, I love SEC football as much as ANYBODY and I think it's the best. However, the gap isn't as large as some of you homers think.
You should probably think with your head first instead of your heart. Is it possible that UT could beat Tosu this year? Yes. However, if Tosu[/u] and UT played 10 times this year, Tosu would win 8 or 9 of those games.First off, it's not TOSU, tOSU, tosu, or anything remotely close anything more than it's TUOT or TUT for Tennessee. UT was started in 1794 and beats OSU (or, as it may also be called, *S* or *h** St*t*) by a large chunk of time there as far as being able to use the T at the beginning.
Second, I can only hope UT and Ohio State play this year. Living outside Columbus as I do, I can assure you that nothing would lead to mass hara-kiri more quickly than people seeing their precious Buckeyes get smacked around in a bowl game by an SEC team. Not like that's anything unusual, as it's happened quite a few times, but considering that Jim Tressel is already being prayed to (that's "to", not "for") in churches all around this sinkhole of a city, it would trigger a group suicide that would make Japan post-VJ Day look like a kindergarten class.
Yeah, being physically and mentally weak is how they blew out the defending National Champions on the road. Being physically and mentally weak is how they won the National Title in '02.I totally disagree - if the nuts were to play any of the top SEC schools, they wouldn't make it through 10 games! They would run out of players due to getting their a$$ smacked all over the field. For my money OSU isn't nearly as tough physically or mentally than most SEC teams. They don't see defenses like those in the SEC, outside of Michigan who they're yet to play. Let them get knocked around for sixty minutes and see how well they play the following week. Unfortunately it won't happen this season, because after they lose to Michigan they'll have two months to lick their wounds prior to their bowl game. I'd love to see them go up against one of the top SEC schools this season.
