Centerline is just northwest of Killeen and Waco, but still in the path of total eclipse. Austin is just on the edge of total eclipse as well.

It's definitely in the path. Now I need to see how long it's in totality. It's north of Round Rock but I think south of Waco.

Didn't see it posted, but it happened - some people in SC named their daughter Eclipse Alizebeth (whatever the last name was). I wonder if she will be called 'E' as a diminutive...

Wife took these on her phone

The sad thing is you know it's going to happen.

I saw it from Franklin, NC. It was cool. I'm not sure how to describe it. 100% totality. If you think about how many hours in a day, how many days in a year, it's hard to correlates that the moon was totally in front of the sun for less than 3 minutes.

It was very interesting but sort of unnerving at the same time. As it approached totality you could look at the sun but there was no heat on your face. It almost seemed like your eyes were failing as it got dimmer, because the you still couldn't look at the sun. I did sneak a peek at the diamond ring without glasses, I think I'll live. I got some pictures with the wife's camera during totality but I made sure not to spend a lot of time messing with that. The cicadas and katydids starting going full force. I was thinking how freaked out you would have been 1,000 years ago if that happened, you would have thought the world was ending. Took maybe an hour to get there and hour and a half to get back so worth the effort.

We were able to watch the eclipse from a high point in Farragut with 360 degree views of the horizon and mountains. Honestly, it was one of the most amazing things I've ever seen. The colors and contrast of the mountains, the temperature drop, the reaction of nature/insects/birds, and the incredible glowing "diamond ring" will never be forgotten. It was a little unnerving and humbling...thinking just how small we are, but it was also uplifting to see the magnitude of God's creation in a way I've never witnessed.
