Tour of Kentucky Football Facilities

Just curious, where did you determine in this thread that anyone was trying to tie facilities to on field play?

I don't think you know much about football, but it is widely assumed that quality facilities help recruiting often leading to improved on field play.

He's "dead-on" because everything he's saying is true... dumbass. Maybe you are the one with a skewed opinion, did you ever think about that?

Gonna resort to name calling? What is this, 3rd grade?

I know plenty about football. Of course facilities help recruiting, which ultimately helps the bottom line of on field play. But your post was vague and made little sense. Your first sentence suggested that someone said on field play DOES NOT help recruiting, which no one did. Your second sentence is scolding people for picking on schools because of their bad play, even though the discussion was about their video boards.

So apparently the point you were trying to make was telling people they aren't allowed to say another teams video board sucks unless said team is great on the field?

On field play doesn't always reflect the facilities. Like the last 3 years of UT football. Don't start picking on UK and Vandy unless your team actually finishes with a winning record.

I can hear it now on the Ky facilites tour

Guide: .....and this is where the once know as 'beer barrel' goes for the winner of the UT v Ky football game. Here's a picture of the last time we won the barrel"

Recruit: hey, that's my dad

My favorite part was where the guy said "The 1976 SEC Championship, that wasn't...all that long ago."

Can any Kentucky fan explain the significance of a cat in the middle of the practice locker room? That is a little creepy if you ask me...

He's "dead-on" because he says what opposing fans want to hear. ;)

Exactly. Because, in reality, UK just has incredible football facilities as compared to everyone else in the conference. The smart classroom that is on par with something you'd see in the humanities building at UT was simply just incredible.

If you are measuring your progress based on results against WKU, Central Michigan, and Jacksonville State, then I just feel sorry for you.

That's about as delusional as acting mad when someone tells the truth about their football facilities.

So, I'm not supposed to be stoked about our middle of the road bowl games predicated upon beating state colleges?

Before anyone says it, yes I support my program and I'm proud of it. But continuing to try and substitute pre conference garbage wins for SEC relevance is getting old.

Everybody plays cupcakes. Kentucky plays 3 plus a rivalry game at Louisville, which isn't always an easy one.

But again, back in the day, UK didn't always win the "cupcake games". Ohio, Louisville, and Indiana all come to mind. Progress is progress.

Your "progress" is simply an illusion brought about by a combination of weakening the schedule, adding a 4th cupcake to round out 12 games, and the mess that post-Petrino Louisville became.
