Tournament Expansion 96?

There is growing talk of expanding the tourney to 96. It likely will happen starting 2011. NCAA meeting April 29 is when we should no. I hope to GOD it does not happen. The tounament is perfect the way it is. Why do they assist on srewing this up? You will loose the great cinderella upsets in the first round while the big boys get a buy and two little guys have to fight each other before playing a Kansas. Plus it will demenish the Office Pools and the regular season. Any 500 team from the BCS schools will now get in and ............ Please leave the tourney the way it is! Your guys thoughts -

Remember...everything is all about the $$$ first and foremost. Sickening that they are even discussing it but...what can you do?

It will make the conference strength argument harder when the sec and the big ten both have 7

Hope not. Show me a format that doesn't suck and ill consider it, but right now, its perfect. The only drawback I have with the current format is that it goes by so quickly...beware the ides of march

The NHL playoffs are the epitome of all that is wrong with tournaments...they last forever.

Maybe we should just go ahead and expand to 256 teams so that pratically every team in D-1 gets in. Just give everybody a trophy and maybe every school in America can fell good about themselves. It would be terrible to be teaching kids about disappointment in life, because as we all know life is only full of joy and happiness.:eek:lol:

Just let half of the teams in the tourney...just like the NBA playoffs.

I could see them adding 4 more team but really? 32 more teams is the nit field.

I think all NBA teams should get in the playoffs so that it would last all the way up to football season lol. Baseball just doesn't cut it for me during the summer.
