We still have the BCS, yet the 'AA would rather screw up the best postseason in all of sports. Unreal.

Maybe we should just go ahead and expand to 256 teams so that pratically every team in D-1 gets in. Just give everybody a trophy and maybe every school in America can fell good about themselves. It would be terrible to be teaching kids about disappointment in life, because as we all know life is only full of joy and happiness.:eek:lol:

The conference tournaments make this almost the case already.

I just realized the top-seeded teams will have a much tougher first game in a 96-team format, unless the auto bids are guaranteed at least a 16 seed. Otherwise, the teams currently seeded 16th, for example, will probably be seeded between 22 and 24, along with the worst teams in the current NIT. The new 16 seeds would come from the top half of the NIT. So, 1-seed Kansas could have drawn, say UNC, for its first game.

This further proves that the NCAA's excuse of hurting an athlete's academics by going to a football playoff is bogus.
