Trade Deadline/Rumors thread

I'm just glad the Yankees didn't trade for him

He actually has decent numbers other than his win loss record. It's hard to have a good record pitching for Seattle. I think he may do well in Boston.

It's also hard to have a bad ERA pitching in Seattle.

I don't think he's an ace but could be a solid pitcher in Boston. His K/BB ratio and whip is pretty good. Seattle has no offense. Doug Fister pitched well too and he has a 3-12 record i believe.

On a semi related note to this, if anyone wants to listen to atrocious radio, check out the baseball america show on mlb network on xm. Im pretty sure he would have called the Lou brock trade a solid trade.

I'm confused as to how the Yankees are losers. Is it really that good of an idea to trade away your top three prospects for a guy who's battling velocity issues and hasn't looked like a great starter since the 2010 ASG?

Winners: Atlanta and Texas
Losers: Cubs for not trading anyone from a 42-65 team aside from Fukudome or doing a much-needed salary dump

Too early to say who is a winner. Very easily could be the Phillies as well.

I think you could say the reds were the big loser. They were in on every trade and jocketty refuses to do anything except make louisville a very good triple A team.

Braves. Fixed the weakest position on the team with an all star and didn't trade one of their eight best prospects.

the only move I can fault him on is the lack of a Ramon Hernandez trade. teams were asking entirely too much for guys this year

could have moved coco, volquez, either heisey or stubbs. either that or he is going to have to move some prospects its pretty simple. prospects are not going to sit at the triple A level killing the ball and not get a shot. season is over fransico alonzo and merasco all should be starting. The reds concept i just can't figure out what it is except to stay average, and look for bargains.

They can still move Coco. Volquez might still have a little bit of value to the organization. Heisey and Stubbs should stay put.

Agreed, I wanted Pence, but glad we didn't sell the farm to rent him for a year and a half. Great move by the Braves. Hope it's enough, but I somewhat doubt it.

Alonso and Mes should be starting. Francisco, not so much. Francisco is just coming off of a DL stint and I'd rather see what Frazier has anyways. Walt isn't going to trade Coco when he is saying we are still in a playoff race. Trading Stubbs is a bad idea. Selling low is normally a bad idea as well and that is what you would be doing if you traded Volquez.
