I will throw this in there.
I'm a preacher. And typically, when there's something on my mind, or brewing in my life, it comes out through one way or another when I talk.
I heard Cuonzo speak last week at a awards banquet that we had at the school I teach at. And he said something along the lines of this:
"I don't really take excuses from anyone. We got guys who say they are sick or hurt, but they're medically cleared. Or they say they're sick, and they don't practice, or they're too sick to go to class. But if you're well enough to be around the team, you're well enough to practice with the team, and you're well enough to go to class."
Once again, not a direct quote. And may not have anything to do with Trae. But I just wonder if Cuonzo did as I sometimes do, and got that in there because it was on his mind. Sometimes when you rehearse how you're going to say things to someone so much, you subconsciously allow it to come out. Don't know. That just stuck out to me in his speech last week. Just seemed like something that was pointed.
TIFWIW.
I wish Trae the best, and hope that he does land at a good spot. Good player for us. Never fully tapped his full potential, but was solid many times in his career here.
