Marta is a stretch 4. Last year she was woefully out of shape to be at her best in SEC but anyone who understands basketball could see she has mental and IQ to be really good player just needed to get in great physical shape which she was on track to do so. Definitely would have made us better team this year. In CHRIST Alone

Marta was on the All-SEC Freshman team.

That right. I just remember watching her play and she understood game so well but was not in the condition and strength she needed at high level basketball. Pics of her this fall showed how much she went to work getting this aspect done. Hopefully she will continue down this path again really like how she plays. In CHRIST Alone

LSU is losing 5 seniors including almost all their staters except for Morris who may elect to stay an extra year but has yet committed to this. My point is that Kim will get several great transfers this year, so Blackwell could be one of them unless Kim doesn't sense that Blackwell would be willing to follow her rules. She only took Morris back when Morris asked for forgiveness and a second chance to right the ship.

The thing that struck me about Marta was that she was so self assured for a Freshman. Never had that deer in the headlight look that most Freshmen have, even during her first game. This backfired at times due to her not correctly judging what types of plays she could successfully make against tougher competition than she had faced previously, but at other times it came out as poise such as a 3 pointer or two against UCONN, I think that once she adjusts to the level of competition, gets some more LV game experience, and is in better shape, she will be really good.

promise taylor retired from basketball last year and Williams transferred from SC after her freshman year. over 6' 4" probably other criteria should be added other than height.

Promise Taylor played at the Juco Level and her coach/ trainer posted she was looking to play next season. So i believe she isn't retired.

Williams 10pts and 5 reb would help any team. Curious as to where she ends up. The impressive thing is that she is efficient in a short amount of time.

Williams could be great because we don’t need a lot of minutes. I’m a little leery of any MIZZOU players TBH though. Taylor could be great if she can get up and down. Really liked her as a freshman at Ole Miss.

Do you think some players can pick up where they left off when they were injured while other players struggle to get going again?

Yes! I was at her first game and she just exploded down the court with so much confidence!

Detracts from the madness too. Here we are mid tourney and should all be talking about the Sweet 16. Instead we are all looking at the portal.

Has to be distracting for the players as well.

Because they can't wait 2 weeks til the season's over? Yeah, they need to clean this up. With a free for all like it is now, they're all probably scared to wait since all the others in portal are out there grabbing spots on teams. Give everyone an equal start during the spring and run it thru mid summer.

Yeah I could see having a window around Christmas break between semesters. That is a natural time for transfer. Then close it until after the season. Re-open early April like you said.
