" The source also said much of Angel Reese's decision had to do with head coach Brenda Frese’s mindset of playing her in the frontcourt rather than featuring her as more of a perimeter player."

She could play the three or stretch four for almost anybody. I think a lot of coaches would like her playing inside so guess she is looking for one that will promise her otherwise.

She was fiercely loyal to Holly and thought she'd been done dirty, so felt it best she start fresh elsewhere. Her heart was in the right place, but in hindsight, yeah, maybe not the best decision.

love your optimism but they had games put away early this year and their players didn't get off the bench. Look at the early round NCAA games too.

I am confident enough in the LVs that i'm not super worried about this and that's not a knock on what SC has/is doin. It's just there were already rumblings so if you were told to wait your turn and then someone cuts line that might not make for a happy locker room.

Again, i don't really care.

I apologize, shouldn't have assumed you didn't read. It's my old school mindset; couldn't imagine having read comments that a player had a bad visit acknowledged by both sides, was considered disrespectful, and is unhappy at another program yet we would still consider her. That's just me, and of course kids can change. But I sure wouldn't take that gamble, especially if it means recruiting over current players. JMO.

I'm bothered by this whole "plug and play" mentality. I realize alot of this is just off season portal giddiness, wanting every player who comes along. There's an important balance btw stocking up for emergencies and being ruthless toward current players, especially young ones. IMO chemistry is still really important. But again, that may just be my outdated, old school mentality.

I think they will use Cooper as a wing backup for Cooke and Beal. She can play those positions quite well. I am sure she is not expecting a lot of playing time, but probably more than what the freshmen got this season.

It's not just that the communications department is cutting edge, it's that we now have an (affiliated) inside network albeit on a small scale compared to the evil empire (haha, that never gets old). It's visible to all. Fully agree that Mimi was a big loss. Those things happen. Miss. St. is probably saying the same thing about Rickea.

He's right now working on a new plan to change his famous "beautiful basketball"-playing team into a "way more beauteous than anything has ever been beautiful in the world"-level basketball playing team in order to beat that Boston-Reese frontcourt next season.

Maybe it is good for basketball if Mulkey is in the mix, but it sure would be entertaining to see her have to struggle for at least one year. ;)

They b!tched about ONO for 4 years, but good luck finding someone on your team who can put up even token resistance against strong frontcourts next year.

Better hope Bueckers, Fudd, and Ducharme shoot lights out AND know who has the basketball on defense 😂
