Good point. I just assumed she would transfer again if she withdrew her name from the draft, but I guess she could actually stay with MSST since she already pretty much drove all the other players away except for her own sisters. LOLMSST might actually have a chance to be halfway decent next season if Jessika Carter comes back in game shape.
Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut.....Angel Reese cannot shoot and she does unorthodox lay ups which seem to be very effective for MD. Her playing as a guard would only fit on a team like SC or Baylor where their Guards and Forwards are NOT shooters.
Other than Myah Taylor, they still have their post-Jackson core plus Jessika Carter coming back. They won't be very deep, but they should be in the top half of the SEC.Good point. I do think Kellie and Horston had to meet somewhere in the middle. Jordy was dead set on being a PG but she’s just not at this level. And definitely won’t be at the next. She’s a 3/4 player with great court vision. Kellie let’s her handle in late clock situations but puts her in a position to be much more successful otherwise.
Yeah, I remember that happening a lot. Everyone wanted to be Candace Parker, but none of them had her ball handling or perimeter shooting abilities. Probably only EDD and Stewart out of all of the 6'3+ "guard/wing" that can't score more than 8 feet from the basket. It's hilarious that she wants to be a guard given she's so obviously a forward.
I remember when Vicki Baugh was in high school and was like "I'm going to be playing wing in college" when she couldn't shoot from the perimeter and couldn't really handle the ball, either. And of course, she played post. Too many big players think if they can drive from the top of the key to the basket that makes them a guard lmao

OMG forgot about Aja acting like that was plausible, too.
Ah memories. When mobile, tall players with any sense of 'perimeter' skills thought they were going to be the next Candace Parker.
