This is exactly what I was thinking. It makes me wonder if she may have received some frank talk in post-season chats with staff and didn't appreciate it.

She was first at Penn State, I think, and then went to Texas. If we need a big body inside….

I’m thinking the same. Could be academic and she just wants to get her graduate degree elsewhere.

While she and Kasi have a similar build I think Kasi was in much better shape. I would call KK solid Ebo was pretty soft and had a hard time getting up and down. She could be excellent if she could get in better physical shape.

Lauren Ebo did go through senior ceremonies along with Joanne Allen-Taylor and Audrey Warren; all 3 have one season of eligibility remaining. Joanne declared for the WNBA draft. No word from Audrey yet on her intentions. Not counting any of those 3 players, Texas has 3 scholarships remaining at the moment. So, it's not necessarily about the scholarship numbers and/or incoming freshmen signees coming in and the roster being overcrowded.

Ebo has been very complimentary of her time at Texas; in one post-game interview this Spring, she said coming to Texas was one of the best decisions she's ever made. Vic has also stated several times this Spring that she was the team's most improved player over the last 2-3 months of the season.

Her reasons for leaving could be strictly academic (perhaps wants to go to grad school somewhere that specializes in her area of study). Could be that she's played under 2 different post position coaches at Texas, and that would have been a third as Texas is currently trying to replace April Phillips (new head coach at San Jose State).

Texas will miss Ebo. She was so good defensively, especially against KSU's Ayoka Lee. Texas has no one else like or as experienced as Ebo in the post. So, that has to be a priority in the transfer portal.

She'll still sit out a yr & come from bench. She should've gone to Ole Miss where she play at least 35mts. Congrats..just play a yr there then transfer again to LSU Madam Kim won't mind

I liked Collins, wish she would have stayed & contributed greatly as a Lady Vol.
I don't particularly like these pics that show a player splash and say "Committed to so & so"... and then you realize this is their 3rd school after transfers.
They are as committed to a school as much as Elizabeth Taylor was committed to husbands.
Yup, I'm old enough to know, but you can Google for that number

Warren is a workhorse of a player, but I really, truly wish she would give up the game before it literally kills her. She's the one who has had so many concussions that many programs wouldn't even clear her to play for them. Texas is known for giving those players a spot to play.

That's all well and good, but I strongly suspect Tennessee will pass on Warren -- no matter how terrific a player/young woman she is. I hate it for her, but ... it is scary watching her play. I would also have to believe her teammates are always worrying about her, too.

I agree. I don’t think we will go after her. Just don’t need anymore at her position. Anyhow. Suspect we take 1 more post and that’s probably all. Maybe a young wing if we have a good one interested.

🤔 be on the lookout in the next couple of weeks. I don't know when recruits can start coming on campus for official visits but i would think it would be soon ...
