Transfer Portal 21-22

I think Walker could be better this upcoming year without the knee brace. It’s really hard to do the things you’re used to doing with it on.

You have a good point, But C. Hall or JerKaila Jordan is an upgrade over Walker with or without the knee brace.

Right. Angie Bjorklund comes to mind. She wasn't the fastest player, but she did have enough moves that she could find ways to get open for her shots and converted at a good clip. Angie was also the #2 player in her class. Tess finished her freshman year shooting 31% from the floor and 33% from deep in limited minutes. And that's on offense, which should be her strength. She would get exploited badly trying to guard SEC wings. So forgive my skepticism...but I've seen nothing from her to suggest that she's the answer or should be playing more minutes.
Angie was inconsistent and not so good defensively.

Angie finished as the best 3 point shooter in Tennessee history. Maybe not the best player defensively, but she was a solid starter.

There is zero comparison between her and Tess Darby. Zero. Despite also not being the fastest or most athletically gifted player, Angie is at a completely different level, which is the point that I was making.

It seems like players that get dismissed from UT always wind up transferring more than once. See also Anastasia Hayes and Te'a Cooper
Copper was going after a championship had nothing to do with issues at other schools

I made no comparison to her at all so what’s your point? Big games she was inconsistent a lot of the times. She struggled when playing against good defensive teams.

Players have to be able to obey team rules to compete for championships anywhere that is number one.

To further illustrate why we need to find a couple three point shooters just looking at last season in the games we lost.

W Va outscored us from the three 27 to 6
Ga 21 to6
Ky 30 to 9
SC 21 to 6
Ga 18 to 6
Michigan 27 to 6

In some big games we won we outscored Indiana from the three 15 to six they missed 21 attempts Versus SC in Knoxville 9 to 9 even. So our biggest weakness this past season and going into next season is three point shooting. Points really accumulate against you when you can't equal that stat out with other teams.
