Yeah, it seems small guards is all they have. Knisha already spent a semester sitting on the bench and questioning her life decisions while players were transferring out in droves. I think Shavers can play at the wing. She is supposed to be a very good outside shooter and has more size to grab rebounds (assuming Rickea will play the 4...if she's still there). Mia Moore is the odd man out. There are enough Hayes Sisters to fill PG needs for like the next 6 years....

I'd say NMP has pretty much sold her soul to Hayes, Inc. She knows the dynamics. She needed a life preserver but no doubt this particular one could take her down as well.. She had to take a gamble though.

Sure hope you're right, and I'm aware KJH plays recruiting close to the vest. Also, most of us around here, with a couple of notable exceptions, are aware we aren't coaches. Even still, it's nerve wracking to see good players come and go while we get crickets.

We have a pretty big case of transfer envy here. Perhaps Kellie is good with what’s she’s got. Kellie is pretty no drama. I am not going to worry if we don’t pick up anyone. I like our team for next year a lot.

I totally agree there. Nerve wracking, sure. I guess I'm just confused at what people think the alternative to "crickets" is? What are we supposed to be hearing and who are we supposed to be hearing it from?

Transfer envy - ha! Yes, I have that I confess.

The thought did cross my mind that maybe, possibly, KJH is taking a huge gamble and standing pat with what she has. But then I come to my senses and realize how big and obvious her needs are and how close her team is to actually being competitive if those needs are filled. I'm all aboard with player development and fully expect the current players to get better. But having an actual point guard from the portal sure wouldn't hurt.

Besides, if KJH actually "fails to address" we'll never hear the end of it from darth.

More likely they'll keep it quiet then come up with a fair to middlin' transfer.

She should have gambled on some bigs. Anastasia...I can see why she would be attractive. But Aislynn and Alasia are just taking up roster spots that could have been used for post depth.

Assuming the starting five is Myah, Anastasia, Jerkaila, Rickea and Jessika...that's an awful lot of firepower. Too bad there's no one to rebound the basketball...

Well maybe that we signed a top point guard with two years eligibility who can't wait to be a Lady Vol, announced by the University of Tennessee Athletics department. That would work for me.

Haha well obviously. I was referring to before we actually got a commit. Crickets doesn’t mean that nothing is in the works.

I think Anastasia will be even better with MSST than with MTSU because they have more firepower. If she's willing to share the ball, she will still score a ton of points but will get them easier because teams won't be able to send everyone after her.

I’m confused because I haven’t heard one bad thing about MTSU having any issues out of the Hayes sisters. People change and judging a then immature 18 yr old still to this day is ridiculous. This is a good pickup for State and I wish Coach Nikki all the best. Funny how so many loved her on this board until she was kicked off the team. And if people really believe that what we have now and brining in is enough to hang with the big dawgs in the SEC are out of their minds!! Key still can’t score and no post move in sight, Horston can be great but will she be, and Rae has to get stronger or better balance so she doesn’t fall so much! And outside of those 3 who else on that roster can actually make a huge impact on the team’s success next season? That simply won’t get it done.

I think people on here get her 18 year old mistake but her mom’s actions trumped that at some point for a lot of posters. The way she went about things were rough. We all get Holly was the root of a lot of these issues. However, was very belligerent on twitter and even when at far as talking about other players and other 18 year olds on twitter.

Fast forward two years later with the ND coach and she is liking posts about bashing the ND coach, liking posts about her being fired and she was the wrong pick. Well just like people loved Annie when she played here... The family must of loved the ND coaches pitch to get her daughter to sign on the dotted line. She has the right to her feelings no doubt but when she continually posts them for the public to see then people will continue with the “oh you get them but also their crazy a** mom talk”.

This is a good pick up for Nikki and i wish her well becuz of her ties to LV nation. But for all the talking you did about people taking shots at Annie you sure didn’t hesitate to take shots at our current LVs yourself. Key showed improvement there’s no doubt about that. Burrell slipped and slid her way into a second team and many felt like she should of been first team. Also she will be on campus so yes, let’s hope that with the proper resources she can improve her strength and balance as she improved in a pandemic. And also let’s hope we have a healthy team that can hang with the big dawgs and hope we bring in more bodies that can help.

If it was all good they wouldn’t be leaving. Everyone knows the problem there are the parents not the kids. They aren’t doing their children any favors.

Mark my words. This MSST experiment will not be a success. Players will be leaving the team mid season and their defense is going to suck.

I really hope Keke comes to UT and not MSST...there more Tn ties down there now...If State picks her up, that will give them a pretty darn good roster...I think Aislynn and Alasia will be good help off the bench, becase they are good ball handlers and Aislynn is a pretty decent shooter...Come on CKH..........

This is what I’m saying. We all know how this goes. One, maybe two of them will be on the bench. Their parents will raise he** to anyone who will listen distracting the entire team from their goals. Other players become disenfranchised because their coach is dealing with them nonstop and the rest of the team is getting left out. I see absolutely no way this ends in anything but a crash a burn experiment season.
