Transfer Portal 21-22

Still trying to find where Lewis committed to Baylor. I don't think it has happened yet. The reason we could use the portal would be offense and three point shooting. None of the freshmen and only Burrell as a returnee bring that to the team. Puckett seems to best option of the freshmen about 33 percent. Pissott is two years away we should've made her a reclassify player.

Volfan2012 i agree with you on Puckett being the best option of the freshmen. I had a chance to see her in TX just my opinion she is much more polish then Striplin.

I see you coming around on Puckett! Glad you finally got to watch her play....Her and Striplin will have the ability be able to come in a give 8 and 4 easily every night

All we have to do is get Striplin in positions to get fouled. 88 percent free throw shooter. She will be effective if she can get to the line as much as KK. I know KK couldn't make them but at least she got there.

I`m not like some on the board just post photos of players. I like to go and watch the talent on display just like i said and i stand by what i said she is much more polish then Striplin. Same thing i said when i watched 6-4 Maya Nnaji and 6-3 Ashlyn Watkins these two players will be impact players as will 6-2 Janiah Barker note never seen her play live but from all the press and video she will be an impact player to. The reason Puckett is under rank to me is because of the competition level in AL is weak compare to states like. GA,FL,SC,NC,VA,NJ,MD,CA and the list go on just my opinion. We can all agree to disagree.

Wasn't Wynn one of the top five at that tourney?

I hate to use this term, but I think that was in the "B" game. I don't know who was listed as top 5 in the game that had all of the top rated recruits.

I know it’s a different sport but i always think when it comes to Wynn anybody mentally strong enough to go out and compete at a high level in the heptathlon is a good kind of crazy LOL. They say her work effort is off the charts and i think has a good physical stature.

I’m not saying this because you are downing Wynn i’m saying this more in amazement of what she could become if invested and coached correctly.

True but i just don`t want to see her do it against cupcakes i would like to see her be KK against the top teams and the SEC teams. But i do think she should clean up on the boards as should Emily because of 6-7 Key in the post. Most players will not challenge Key because it will be sent back or they will rush there shot.

She scored 30 a game in Texas played some of the best teams down there. I just go by what is reported and they said she was top five in the game she was allowed to play in. She can only play in the game they allow her to play in so she was one of the best in that game. All I've seen of her she looks to be outstanding just as quick to the basket as Hayes that was here and a much better perimeter player.

I'm not downing Wynn. There were two games. One of them had all of the top players that were going to many of the ranked teams; the other game had players that were going to mostly mid-majors. That was the game that Wynn played. Anyone who looks at the rosters as @djtee also noted can see that there was a big difference in the talent level of the two games played.

I agree with some of what you say. She's clearly a superb athlete, but having not seen her play, I don't know if she's an athlete first or basketball player first. I'm interested in seeing her take the court, but I'm not expecting anything earth shattering right away given her general scouting report. If it ends up her improvement opportunity is her basketball fundamentals, then I'm sure that the coaching staff will work to improve that area and she'll be a solid contributor as an upperclassman.

agreed. Hence why i said i didn’t think you were downplaying her. I am a track athlete (a college one) so i get excited when i see any athlete have heart (which has been missing in some of the LVs). The fact also she was a champion at it impressed me.

So i guess we could say she did what she was supposed to do against those she was placed with. Also, shout out to Puckett then for playing with the big dogs i believe😎

I`m not saying Wynn can`t ball she can ball, I`m just saying the team she was on was not good.

UConn not really any better inside than they were before this player committed just another body. Whether they win or lose every game will depend on their perimeter players again next season. They will be even better on the perimeter with the added freshmen. They don't have much chance to lose in the Big East, but playing at SC and against teams like Stanford and a few others always present the chance to lose.

Don’t forget that they also add 6’5” Amari Deberry who is ranked as high as #3 by one recruiting service. They are definitely better in the post with this freshman and the transfer

Puckett is Tennessee's most highly acclaimed '21 recruit, so it makes sense that she was playing in the group with all the McD AAs. The SC, UConn, Texas and UNC commits were all part of that group as well. I wish they posted the highlights or the box score, though. Would be interesting to see who were the standouts in that second game and how Sara fared against her SC counterparts.

Exactly the point that once you get past the returnees and the freshman she is not going to play much or they are not going to play much. They are still way behind SC and Stanford in the post. If they intend to win it all it will come from their perimeter players doing most of the heavy lifting . Their post players are not going to be close to enough to win a title without exceptional play from the perimeter players. Their best player of the bunch is Edwards and she probably plays over 30. Ono and the transfer are similar except Ono is the far more efficient offensive player. The freshman could take a lot of minutes don't know yet if that happens then they are better. If she is not better than Ono or the transfer next season you have two players that never make them better regardless of which one is in the lineup. I agree Deberry could make them better she is ranked 15th by Hoopgurlz. What they actually have with the transfer is more depth seriously doubt it will result in better play overall in the post.

I recently saw a tee shirt that read “Go ahead and underestimate me, this will be fun.” Think Wynn needs this. She will be equal or better than any of our 2021 recruits by the end of her freshman year.
I haven't seen enough of her to determine how she will play as a freshman. I did watch the practice play down there that they allowed us to see and she was very effective that day at both shooting from the perimeter and getting to the rim. You don't play the AAU and during the summer you ranking drops like a rock. This is exactly what happened to her. She went from number 21 to 62 just because she sit out the summer.

She played on perimeter. it was hard for any player to get in a flow rhythm because five in five out. Team GiGi also had some size to Teonni and Feagin. Feagin can ball block shots to. Teonni is close to 6-5 also and rejected i want to say Deberry shot . But Puckett is the real deal she can ball with the elite players i think.

Lucy, my friend, Wynn will be Fabulous....I have no doubts about that...I've watched a lot of film on this girl, and she is cat fast, and shoots a nice two from the elbow, or she can pop for three from Justine land.....

Put her with Puckett, and the marvel called Striplin, plus mix in Miles for her speed at the point, and the LVs are looking good.

It's going to be a fun season....Keep the faith.
