LSU got hot at the right time, but had they met any of the aforementioned teams on the other side of the bracket, they probably would not have made the final four.

It was not matchups that Iowa beat South Carolina ,it was poor coaching by South Carolina.

Does anyone know when this portal thing closes ? Let’s wait until after it closes and then the judgement can begin ! Last year seemed really fast and this year seems really slow…. All of the negative Nancies and gloom and doom fans are only drawing attention to the situation! If we are to crucify Kellie …. Let’s wait till after the portal closes ? 🤷‍♂️.

May 11th to get in but you can still recruit players that are in there up to beginning of next school semester.

The portal date closing is just to add a name for someone wanting to transfer. What is the last date to sign for the ‘23-‘24 cycle? Anyone know?

I figure you would have to sign before the beginning of the summer semester which is middle of June. I don't know for sure, but why would you want to begin another semester at your other school unless you were staying. I figure as far as Tennessee is concerned middle of June we will know our roster.

I would really like to know the answer to how long players have to sign after the portal closes. I know you have to get in by May 11th, but don't know the date you have until you actually have to sign. I guess it is up to every school to determine when they would accept you.

My expectations now are to make the tournament and get one win, I think that’s the ceiling for this team. But that changes if we can get more through the portal.

it seems to me that Kellie is also sending a message to 2024 and 2025 players that she is not recruiting over them or the current team. wells was huge and Ace will provide some bench minutes in the right spots. if you read the tea leaves, and the many recruiting visits to UT recently, their focus really seems to be on 2024 in this moment. are they open to the right player from the portal? of course, but i don't believe they think the sky is falling...like it is for some on here.

I think a coaches job is to build a championship team, I doubt she’s waiting until 2024 because once Rickea leaves who will we have? 5’5 Wells and Strickland will not be carrying this team to a championship with one recruit in 2024, we will still be looking for talent through the portal.

From when Key said she was coming back I thought if she went 20 minutes a game would be about what she has done most games before. I was really expecting Tennessee to try and add post help as we all know that Striplin is not a five and has a difficult time playing that position on defense when she goes up against true fives which the best teams have. Hollingshead can handle it, and expect we will see her time go up. We really need another big plenty minutes for easily for someone.

If I lined it up right now

PF- Striplin, Puckett
WF-Jackson, Darby
C-Key, Hollingshead
2G-Ace, Wynn
PG-Wells, Powell, Edie

I think Puckett and Striplin could handle the four fairly well as Juniors both should be better players. Key and Hollingshead will be fine at the center position would be nice to add another player that is effective both offensively and defensively at either position four of five.
Everything seems to depend on Jackson staying healthy all season. Ace and Wynn at the two is weak JMO. Wells and Powell will be fine at the point guard position.

I think adding two more players would not affect that much. We definitely lose Jackson, Key more than likely, and Powell for sure. We have five scholarships now. If we sign two more players we have three plus get two may three back at end of season.

If we don’t start Hollingshead at the four I think we need to find a starter at the PF and Sg position.

I was having a convo about this the other day with someone and it takes a lil luck and they had that..by far the easiest path to the championship wit all the big guns goin dwn it kinda reminded me of 2008 i think when we had to go thru marist, ole miss, and rutgers not saying we wouldnt hve won the championship anyway but it was extremely easy path

That’s nonsense and they know it, u bring in players and they battle it out, players love competition. So we are the only school that can’t bring in elite players because they made a promise to not recruit over.... yea whatever.
