Really?

Choosing the right gig is crucial when going frogging as it can make or break your success rate. A gig is essentially a spear-like tool used for catching frogs in the water.
I used to go frog gigging often about 50 years ago. "Catch"? Must be a local term. Unlike catching a fish you hunt them and the gig impales them, almost always causing death. We always went at night at ponds in the area. You use a flashlight to shine along the bank as the frogs eyes shine brightly when lit up.
It could be that the accuracy of the person using the spear is more important than the perfect gig. If you miss them they usually dive in the water. I wasn't the best by far. Good times.
The only part of frog you eat is the legs.

I would have thought I was the only one who had experienced late at night frog-gigging. It was a weird/memorable experience using this tiny pitchfork at the end of a rake handle to catch the frog...and the frog-legs indeed,,taste like chicken.

Did you ever go "coon hunting" (raccoon)?

??? This pick up wouldn’t have any impact on her. She’ll likely start at the 4 and get plenty of playing time.

Alyssa Ustby will likely continue to start at the 4 and Teonni with either back her up or compete for starting at the 5. Teonni didn't really step when Ustby was out for five games.

I wonder will Banghart incorporate her centers in the low post and the offense ininstead of primarily using them as screen setters and giving them an occasionaly 4 to 5 dump off layups a game.

I definitely been frog gigging. Farm ponds and golf course ponds in East Tennessee. Many years later, down the bayou with nephews, in Louisiana.
They eat anything down there. General hunting philosophy was, “If it moves, it dies. Bag limits?”

Alot of these top recruits are signing in places that they could care less if they are recruited over with by the transfer portal. Most are fine sitting the bench for 1 year racking up 75,000 and having the opportunity to transfer out with no penalty the very next season lol. I see this happening to often which i predict the same for Ms. Velez as well as Ms. Watkins out of USC.

Ha ha, I was gonna say frog legs taste like chicken. People say a lot of things taste like chicken, but frog legs actually do.
No coons, Killed a ground hog and ate it. My friend, who would eat anything prepared it, and he loved it. Yuk, yuk, yuk.

I think playing Ustby at the 4 was one of the reasons UNC was so up and down last year. They got outsized in some games. I think she’s better at the 3 starting with Donarski and Kelly. Start Key and Gakdeng. Bring McPherson, Paris, Nivar, Toomey, and Poole/Zelaya off the bench.

Freshmen or not Toomey just might be the best all around player on that team.
