Yep. We will be very young next year. Another reason we can’t afford this season to be a “rebuild” year because the next one will be filled with growing pains as it is and we’ve got to keep the momentum going.
Yep and it's why I keep reminding myself that Heupel needs a break due to that class. Still, he knew the roster. He just didn't anticipate the injury to Mays and that Karic would be a bust. We need a lot of help from the portal and it's more than troubling especially when you consider that Mays moves on, too. Gotta find a starting center and a capable backup plus grab several others who can play at this level. No easy task in this offense. Something tells me that linemen look at our pace of play and say to themselve F that. They won't want to deal with that level of conditioning that will be needed. Heupel is facing one helluva challenge with next years roster. Still, if Prime can do what he did, we should be able to grab some decent guys. Of course, Heupel won't have the appeal of Prime Time courting players. Would feel bad for him, but with the money he's making, I think he'll just have to suck it up and do what's necessary. That '21 recruiting class (or lack there of) is showing up.
I don't know that Karic is a bust. He's brand new to the offense and you technically have two QBs on offense once you hit the collegiate level. The actual QB and the center. The center has to be your smartest offensive lineman and make all the calls and checks for blocking assignments based on what he sees. I think Ollie Lane is barely able to just get the line set most of the time and not able to make the necessary reads. We've had so many blown assignments. I think that has attributed to the offense not being in sync and so many bubble screens being called. I hope Cooper is back this week so we can get in a groove before the South Carolina game. So far, Lane and Dayne Davis have been getting destroyed at times regardless of level of competition. I know that doesn't account for all of our struggles, but it's a huge part that a lot of fans don't recognize.Yep and it's why I keep reminding myself that Heupel needs a break due to that class. Cooper was a massive loss and I can't believe there were people on this board that thought it would be seamless. It was nonsense. The last time Cooper missed time the offense had issues too. but, but, everyone kept telling me that you can basically plug anyone in at WR when i was voicing concern about carnell tate going to ohio state. i am not sure there has ever been a system where you can for sure pull out an all-SEC player and plug in someone who sucks and expect the same results just because of the systemAdd WR. So basically everything but a RB

Young teams with talent usually have plenty of fight. There will be a lot of competition which is good. It makes everybody better. We will have growing pains but the cupboard isn’t bare. GBOYep.
