More Roster Movement?

I'm hearing Tennessee is debating internally as to who gets voted off the island next. It seems based on folks I've talked to that a couple of forwards could be facing the chopping block...

From Basilio's blog this morning. Sounds like a few between Olivier, Anosike, Walker & Uros may be asked to move on. Also stated that Tennessee is in really good shape with Parker Stewart if they want him.

Doubt it's Uros or Anosike.

We really need a big, besides BHH and Tamba (he is not helping us next year, at all, imo). BHH is more like a stretch 4, imo, we need an immediate rim protector/rebounding machine that lives and thrives in the paint. Mitchell and/or QW, preferably

With Fulk and BHH I don’t think you’re dying down low, but definitely could use a reliable piece...might have trouble selling a stud 5 man unless you’re telling them Fulk is moving to the 4...or don’t mention BHH lol.

So as of right now we have these guys probably staying and these joining us;
Guards: Chandler, Vescovi, Bailey Jr, James, Mashack(? on spelling)
Forwards: Nkouhma, Anosike, Walker(? Maybe leaving) can’t believe we are down to just 8 players. If rumours are true about Fulky then 9 guys. Which I hope happens I want Fulky to get another shot to play in the tournament and to get 1,000 career points! Are many of these transfer guys very likely for us? Also, how many more freshmen are we likely to add?

Hell, you have to be shady sometimes. Oops, BHH has decided at the last minute to leave school early and sign with TN.

2 new post names Tennessee could have some interest in...

7’ 240lbs, 3 years at Cincinnati and last year at Miami...8pts/6rpg/1bpg 54%
Nysier Brooks College Stats | College Basketball at Sports-Reference.com

6’7” 235lbs, 3 year star at ECU...career average of 18pts/9rbd, 50%fg, looks like he may be more of a 4.

Did not see that coming, but I would guess that means Justin Powell is not going to UK. Not sure what transfers see in Cal. It appears he is playing the market more to add experience to his teams, but he's really only good at the 5 star freshman thing.

I've liked the transfers we have gotten...its been the freshman who struggle mightily. Mintz was our leading scorer and best shooter last year. Sarr never found his groove but at times was dominant in stretches.

Jamison Battle who Tennessee was mentioned with some early just committed to Minnesota, once they hired Ben Johnson that was expected though...both went to same high school in Minnesota.

Travis Reid didn’t improve his stock, which I assume he was looking for. Solid though. Sestina was average. Sarr was up and down. Mintz was good, but he probably sees less production if some of the freshmen were better.

I am from Memphis and know Cal well. He knows how to handle high level 5 star guys, and I understand what he’s doing. I’m just not sure he is the guy to play for if you are a 1-2 year transfer. And...to be fair, Barnes’ track record with transfers at UT isn’t good either.

SIAP but another big name entering the portal. He wouldn’t have to play PG here and could play his natural 2 or 3 position and be a true playmaker. Would fit nicely here, but I doubt there is any connection to Tennessee.

Got a hard time seeing a 6’2” kid play the 3, and he can’t shoot the 3 at all...I checked him out earlier, just don’t see the fit.

Uhm....

Let’s *****ng go!

Really want this kid, next year's Kyle Alexander like rim protector, that will rebound and has a decent low post game. Definitely, a better defender than offensive player, but that's cool, free ups Fulk to do what he can do, plus Chandler will get him some easy points

Kid can play, better athlete than basketball player, right now, but this is the type of kid, Barnes develops, imo

I would think the first 3 are the legit contenders.
Yeah... especially when Kevin Keatts gave Omer Yurtseven the boot as he “didn’t fit his style” of playing traditional centers then he went to Georgetown and played well
