Transfer Portal Thread

This would be a huge get if we could pull it off. Kid is a walking bucket.
have watched him for four years. StAts are impressive considering how many minutes McKillop plays him and how much attention he draws from foes. Curious, though, whether he might stay in NC for xtra year, Cats will have one of their best lineups in years if he stays,

Please not let the bluegrass kats land him

Reactions: Vols All Day
This sounds like exactly what Tennessee needs.
Grady is exactly what the Vols need. Grady can score at all three levels, he can play spot minutes at the point, he can create his own shot, and he has good athleticism. Further, Grady would be a great pick up because he would take a lot of pressure off of Chandler. Right now the only person the Vols have that can beat anyone off the dribble is Chandler.

would loved davidson to repeat those golden years of Lefty D. and hate seeing Kellan leaving but i'd be thrilled to see him in Orange
but i'd love to see him in orange

His FT % makes me feel better about his shot. Difference in 3 pt % might just be the type of shots he was taking between his Jr and Sr year. Maybe his role changed and he was moreso *the guy" on this year's squad who was taking those last second 3pt attempts that have a low percentage of going in.

I like these highlights against Loyola.

Read he had shoulder injury so probably why his percentage dropped

More Roster Movement?

I'm hearing Tennessee is debating internally as to who gets voted off the island next. It seems based on folks I've talked to that a couple of forwards could be facing the chopping block...

From Basilio's blog this morning. Sounds like a few between Olivier, Anosike, Walker & Uros may be asked to move on. Also stated that Tennessee is in really good shape with Parker Stewart if they want him.

Anosike unfortunately is not SEC caliber IMO. Olivier is coming off the bench for mop up minutes, would be better at lower D1 school.

Agreed! And all the people that say “get a big man” there really aren’t many. Due to the roster deficiencies, TN needs at least three competent 6’8”-6’10” forwards. This would be huge improvement.

This just seems like a stretch based on him mentioning Anosike, they aren’t going to ask him to move on because it literally does nothing scholarship wise...the belief is Walker will move in, not sure why they’re mentioning those other names.

Those were just names I mentioned in addition to what was said on the blog since they specifically mentioned forwards. And yes I forgot Anosike didn't count. I thought "couple" was interesting meaning more than one of those four may be gone.

Oh, I thought that was the quote from his blog, got it...unless Walker has done a 180° and is now going to stick around maybe the staff wants that scholarship and is asking one of the others to leave, my guess is it’s still Walker though. Tony B just regurgitates a lot of what’s on message boards, the French kid being an example...that info was nowhere, I mention it here and then it’s in his next blog, not a coincidence.

We will have to see if it comes to fruition but with Oregon losing last night I would think if it’s gonna happen it will sometime fairly soon...been rumored for awhile N’faly Dante will enter the transfer portal and is a name Tennessee has been eyeing as a big man.

6’11” 230lbs 17.7mpg 8.2ppg 5.8rpg 1.2bpg 65.6%fg...would have 3 years remaining.

Is he the west coast player not yet in the portal Austin Price was referring to last week?

Sit a year and recoup/rehab from torn ACL?

Any word on if we're looking at Kristian Lander from IU? I know he had a rough frosh season, but he's a year younger than everybody due to him reclassifying. His HS tape has flashes of J. Bone

Watched him play a lot in high school. They were at our summer camp every year. We played them twice a year. I have followed him some at Indiana State. For 2 years a preached to people that he could play at a high major. As for shooting, he is not a "shooter" but if defense doesn't scout him as a shooter and gives him open catch and shoot 3's he is capable. But what he is, is just a really good player. High IQ, great vision and passer, great body control and footwork when he attacks. Good leader. Not elite quickness but not slow either. He could play at UT. Would like to get him. He wouldn't solve our lack of a perimeter threat though.

I wondered if he would jump, too. He is a guy I liked a lot coming out, too. Had a very average (that's being kind) freshman year, but like you said, he reclassified, so it may just be an issue of maturity, both socially and physically.
