Peal lost himself by lying to investigators, has nothing to do with anything else where do our fans come up with this crap?My question:
If Auburn is in fact investigated by the NCAA and found to have committed multiple violations, which star player will the SEC Commish make US get rid of to save Pearl??
(I mean, we lost Pearl to allow a cover up for Cam...so, just analogizing)

Lying about cooking a killer hamburger. 3 year show cause.
Decades of fake classes for student athletes? Meh
Tennessee should never have fired Pearl.
Roy Williams and Will Wade are laughing at you. They should have fired him the very minute he told the AD he had lied to an NCAA investigator. They should have never waited a day to fire him. Letting the ncaa wolf in the door like that is an instantaneous firing offense, IMHO. If he hadn't lied to them, then the school could have stood by him with the small infractions. But he lied to them...........
Of ALL the places, he had to pick Auburn.
I hate this lol
All very good points. He seems to be a “family controls coach” sort of player and one that doesn’t fit our culture. This choice was pretty predictable. Auburn was a close second when he picked UNC out of high school after being an Auburn or Duke lean. I know some posters felt differently, but I don't think UT was ever a serious contender for this kid - now or out of high school. Given his quick exit from Chapel Hill, I don't think he would have lasted more than a year in Knoxville anyway.
The father was a concern for me, but the fact that he reached out to Barnes (allegedly) helped to calm those fears. Still, the first sign of struggle or disagreement could have sent him/them off the rails with Barnes, too.Agreed. Given what has been written about him, it's impossible for me to believe he would take to Coach Barnes' style.
Now, I'm just anxious to hear some good news on the big man front. I think we are set at guard. I'd love to see some hope in the form of a genuine post presence and, while I hope he returns for sure, I don't think Fulkerson's return will fill that bill.
Also saw that he wanted to be more of a stretch forward instead of an inside presence. I know it’s looking like Barnes wants to shoot the 3 more next season with the shooters coming in but can’t blame him for going to Auburn when that’s all they do. We need a big that is willing and able to play inside, defend, and catch lobs. This choice was pretty predictable.
