I would think if you trust your coaching staff you’d want to get the best talent and coach ‘em up to consistently be elevating the play of your roster, not just find an experienced guy to be a limited-upside, maintenance-style bandaid on a hole.

Maybe the focus is all on keeping the current roster happy but I just don’t get that guarantano style loyalty and I’m under the impression lack of funds is not an issue.

Spend money to make money.

Let’s say some of these players we won’t pay for could be the difference in seven wins and ten.

I would wager that would cost us some season tickets and ticket prices would drop. They sky rocketed after the Hooker season.

Not saying he is that type of player but I think some times it is worth it. Verse being a prime example. He and Pearce would have been unstoppable this year.

Didn’t suffer and stick with the program over half my life, go to school there paying out of state tuition, to one day be drinking Dasani. I’m confident Heupel can get us smart water. Don’t understand, especially with the transfer portal, how we’re not there yet. My frustration is a biproduct of my hope and confidence.

You don’t understand how we’re not there yet? Did you sleep through the post-Pruitt exodus or what? Didn’t like 35+ players leave? That’s more than an entire recruiting class.
