Transfer Rumours

who the hell knows if KD can play D or not? Holly never let her see time on the court long enough to tell. Holly missed the boat on that, imho

Duh did you see her? Perhaps she didn't play more because of her defense. She slow

Too many quick, athletic guards on this team for next year. If your not delusional, then you would see several girls never getting to play for the rest of their careers. They have to decide whether sitting on the bench at U.T.(being fan favorites) is their dream or playing for another school and actually getting to play in their final years is more important.
There is NO WAY 2 of these girls will or should be playing at this level. It was apparent last year and you just have to write it off as bad recruiting. Some girls get in a good situation in high school and it makes them look better than they actually are......some schools saw it but apparently Tennessee didn't........... I see 2 transferring (one this year and maybe one next year)

Good players don't seem to mind sitting at UCONN. What's the difference?

Why would Tucker transfer? I don't think a free scholarship is something her family can easily skip, plus if she can't play at this level, physically, it is probably best she not play anywhere. Her shot is amazing, but if her knee just won't hold up, best she just stop trying. Tennessee will honor her scholarship, she has to be close to junior level in her studies, and frankly transferring credits after that level is never a good idea, or easily done.I would think the rumours are untrue, and if anything she is thinking of leaving the sport. Personally, I am still hoping she can have a comeback.

welcome to the Board :hi:

I think she didn't play because of her defensive skills, she looked slow because she was out of position a lot

but with a collegiate strength and conditioning program, experience and a summer working with other players

I think we will be pleasantly surprised at her play come this fall

The thing about KD is she had a big time growth spurt in high school, I believe in the last 2 years. She basically went from small shouting guard to playing at UT as a 3 possibly a 4! She came in as a project player with huge upside, and Dale is a great developer of post players. I think if she gets away we will be very sorry, and I also think she will too. She has a huge upside in my opinion here. She needs to build muscle, but I saw fight in her for rebounds and toughness which is really hard to teach. She has size which Pat always said can not be taught, give her some time, I think she will see a lot of personal training and game time banging in the paint that will really make her develop. Holly needs to define her role, last year she was used primarily as a three point shooter, and later in the year asked to play in the lane some.

I cannot think of any two players that should not see playing time if they play up to their potential. We have an injured player we don't know if she will get her lateral movement back, a senior center who will get bigger minutes this year, and a project player who none of us knows what the coaches have planned for her, but she has tons of potential, and to say there are 2 who will obviously sit their career at TN just seems off base, and certainly enlight of Holly's willingness to play lots of players and line ups freely. I cannot remember a season when injuries did not play into playing time and players having to play other positions. We are certainly loaded at guard, but playing 4 guards and a 6ft6 center will happen a lot. We are dealing with 2 true centers, 1 true 4, and 3 threes. We have a 6ft2 guard who might play anywhere from 2, 3, to 4, she certainly has the body for it. Throw in some recent history of injuries and you can pretty much bank on everyone getting serious looks at playing time, and some at multiple positions.
