Transfers

We are likely to see quite a few current players go elsewhere. How many? Who knows for sure but Butch did say recently that he's gonna find the guys that will give their all for TN this off season (and basically weed out the rest). Dallas and Posey have already left and now T Smith seems to be on his way out. I'd guess possibly as many as 10 guys, counting the 3 mentioned, won't be here after the spring semester. I know this sounds harsh, but for the most part, the more of DD's players that leave the better off we'll be.

I have no idea about possible incoming transfers. Wouldn't be surprised to see 2-3 maybe. Hopefully if we get any they'll be eligible immediately and be able to contribute in the two deep asap.

Guess I missed it, but when did Dallas leave?

I seriously don't think Bowles goes anywhere as he has always bled orange, and you surely don't ask an in-state 4* who bleeds orange to "look elsewhere". What kind of message would that send to future in-state players? Just because he hasn't contributed doesn't mean he will not (or cannot) in the future.

Yep

If Coker were to transfer to the Vols, I would assume Peterman might be looking to leave. The spring competition would be interesting with Worley, Ferguson, Dobbs, and Coker going head to head for next fall. I still think Ferguson might be the long term solution at QB, but he needs a great spring. And to stay healthy!!!!

The 4th stringer is everyones fav now?

Coker will not have to sit out if he leaves FSU as he is graduating early. If he leaves, he can start playing immediately.

I got from what he was saying there was someone coming from AL, because right after he made that comment, he laid out a scenario of a recruit going to AL and not being happy there. He also strongly indicated he felt CBJ was happy with the QB sitch and believes he's got what he needs to win. I am not sold on Dobbs by any stretch, so Fergie better be all that. Dobbs long ball sucks, and his inability to score in the red zone is fatal in this league. He may have blown his chance, unless he really kills it in the spring.

I think you could platoon Ferg and Dobbs with Ferg on passing downs and Dobbs on the run/pass downs.

How much PT did he get this year? Why?

Gary Danielson said yesterday he believes Malzhan's read option offense and the speed of it is going to change the landscape in the SEC. A QB with legs is essential. Does anybody know about Fergie's wheels?

At the beginning of the season, I thought that Fugate & Smith might be ones to leave because they could not crack the line up.

Now, I think that Ortega & Christian Harris may be next. I am just looking at players who appear to never make the line up and really contribute.

B.J. Coleman bled Orange also and he was asked to leave.
