Trent Richardson

Yes and i've seen them probably more than anyone else on this board. Ingram is a very good but you're underestimating how good Trent will be.

Everyone but me I'm in Bama too. Ingram will be an alright back. I want to see what these backs do without a Top 5 draft pick blocking for them.

"I feel pretty good after this visit because Alabama was my commitment for a reason. I feel like teammates already with the players and recruits," said Richardson. "I just have to make sure that I am making the right decision so I will take those visits over the next two weeks and either Florida State or Tennessee on the last weekend.

"Alabama fans make me feel right at home. When I got to the basketball game today, I got up in the stands with my brother and B.J. and Julio and I didn't even think anyone would notice me. Before you knew it, the whole student section was chanting my name. That was great to hear."

Don't see how he goes anywhere but Bama.

Everyone got a great look at what Alabama's o-line will be like with just one of the big men out against Utah :cray:

not many freshman OL will come into a BCS school and start. Fluker will be good but there's a huge learning curve. Any Bama fan that thinks their running game will be as good as this past season is setting themselves up for disappointment.

I agree but the passing game will play big role also. It's not to clear how good the back up will be (forgot name) but he did throw a nice pass to the endzone in a mop up role against Auburn. I can't explain it but I have a feeling that Alabama will be a better passing team with either the back up or Star Jackson.

I think everyone saw Bama alot this year. They were the darling of CBS/ESPN. Alabama was on a ton here in Louisiana. Of course, there is the Saban angle.

Good article. Would be great to get him. A HUGE steal.

Wow!! After reading that article it really sounds like Tenn. might be a little farther ahead with Trent than most think. This would be a monster steal at this point. Even if we don't get him this is giving the football team some optimism for next years class.

To win on Saturdays 2 and 3 years from now, we have to win these recruiting battles now. All of these articles are nice reads with this staff only having a very limited amount of time to throw a gameplan together. Winning these recruiting battles is the only thing that matters right now.

"They called me up when I was at Disney for the All-American game," Richardson said. "The head coach (Lane Kiffin) came down last week, and coach (Stan) Drayton. They came at me pretty hard. The old coach didn't come at me as hard." :post-4-1090547912::post-4-1090547912::post-4-1090547912:

I would partially agree. Utah beat Alabama in a one-off game with coaching & desire. It had nothing to do with recruiting battles and everything to do with putting players in a position to be successful.

To win the SEC, we need top-5/top-10 talent. Utah/Boise/TCU couldn't survive a full campaign in the SEC without battle scars. The SEC is a war, not a battle.

With the guys we have, we can beat SEC foes right now, but for us to compete every single week, we need to get more skilled players and we need the coaches to cater to their strengths.

How many backs does Bama have in the NFL? or DID? Shaun Alexander?

McClain I think went to bama also, but they used him at another position if I remember correctly. Might be wrong though.

As for TR, hes been a bama lock for sometime now. I believe he has been trying to recruit Ruben Randall (sp?) to Alabama as well.

This has been said before, but just the fact that Kiffin is already making this much noise is a very positive sign for the future.

I think ut will have a very good class next year. With the recruits that is just visiting out of courtesy says a lot. Plus TN is gonna have a big year as far as in state goes and that always helps. Just think last year, Saban had a great year of recruiting and the state was loaded as well. I see the same next year for ut. JMO though hopefully BAMA can pull some out of Tn next year. :)
